Just before lights out?

I was taught to do it just before lights out so that there can be recovery time. Whether or not recovery time is actually needed is unknown to me since I've never done any trimming early in the day.

Yes but mainly to focus the plants energy toward the top bud sites theres no sense keeping bud sites that are anywhere under the main canopy by three or four nodes from the top. It just produces larphy shit. Another reason is air flow. all the air in the tent can rip through that under carriage and dry up the medium quickly. Even if the light gets through to the dirt i dont keep any growth down there for it to hit.lol
