Okay. Holy fuck. No offense we got a lot to cover dude!

First, did nobody notice that your plant was ALREADY flowering? He must have re-veged it.

Thats why it looked so weird.

Second, you have to figure that your plant will stretch 2x-3x it's height in flower. Everyone talking about taking it in veg for a long ass time I assume is talking about using some mh/hps lighting to grow some 6 foot plants (36 inches is 3 feet. 3 feet x 2 is 6 feet. 6 feet with a 250w CFL??). Your using a single CFL so you have to account for how much surface area that light covers. So, to be on the safe side, you want to start flowering when your plant could grow 3 times larger and still be OK as far as intense light.

Now I know you already started flowering but that's for the future dude.

Also, what color temperature is that light? 2700k, or 6500k?

If your using the 6500k for flower that's not the best thing to do. I mean sure you can skimp on some things but lights is where it all happens, without good light you could do an amazing job with the plant but it would still never reach it's full potental.

6500k is in the blue spectrum, in vegetation the plant likes this blue light to grow closely spaced nodes, basically more branches/flowering sites in a smaller height. (which is good because it will STRETCH like crazy in the beginning of flowering.)

2700k is the redder spectrum, the plant likes red light in flowering because it helps grow thick stems to support FAT buds, it also helps with the resin production.

If your using veg light on a flowering plant youll see a lot of leaf and not a lot of bud. (to a certain extent, it's not like there will be NO bud)

if your using a flowering light on a vegging plant, youll see a lot of stretching, and no dense thick foliage.

If you don't have 2700k lights go to home depot, and look for the big 42w (actual wattage) bulb, it says 2700k on the back towards the top, it's like $7 a bulb. What I did was I went and got a light socket adapter and 6 bulbs.

Then you can go find the "work lights" which are essentially a light socket on a cord that you can hang over your plants. Surround your plant with those light bulbs (not too close) and you will notice some CRAZY growth. CFL's don't really penetrate into the foliage light Metal Halide and High Pressure Sodium bulbs do. So it is best to use many sources of light surrounding the plant rather than one large source on the top. Sorry dude I'm not trying to dis your light or anything.

What else... Oh yeah, backyard soil.

Did you sterilize that soil in any way to kill the bugs that could be in there? If not you could be dealing with some bugs in your dirt in the near future. I used some MG soil from outside and got some bugs that chew on my roots, 3 treatments later I THINK they're gone.

The pic attached is a cola from the 250w cfl grow i have going on... I vegged with 8x 24w bulbs (192w) for the most part. I only vegged for like 5 and a half weeks, I started with 1 bulb for the first week, then two bulbs, then 6, then 8 for the last 3 weeks. At the time I didn't realize how many I would need.

Also dude, I would look into some LST or something to spread those two branches coming up. If you spread them out the lower part of the plant will get more light and grow. If a part of the plant is in the dark then it grow some but not very much. Get as much of the plant in the light as you can.

Yo man thanks for looking through the whole grow. Most people didn't notice but u were right, i had to re-veg it. I go to boarding school and i was bored so i threw a seed in a pot just to see what would happen with window light. It grew from january to midway march to this size.

Because it was winter and in a window it started to flower from seed. When i got home from break i wanted to grow it right so i re-veged it with a 250w cfl.

Anyway man thanks for the advice with the lights i plan on getting 6 20-24w cfls to hang around my plant when i get home in a week. Im going to have to read about LST because i know really little about it.

Nothing to LST really, more of an idea.

When your bending your branches around though, MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE WET (inside). If you wake up in the morning, water your plants, and then immediately try to bend them you risk snapping them. Give them an hour to absorb the water so the stems are easily bent and not so easily snapped.

Hey guys so i have a question. I plan on moving this plant out on my balcony for the rest of the summer or until its ready to harvest because i dont have enough room for it and my soon to be 5 diesel ryders. Anyway i have 1 fem barney's farm blue cheese, 1 fem barney's farm red diesel, 1 fem green house white widow, and 1 fem r. privada cole train. I have to grow them outside but i was wondering if i can put them in pots and just throw them outside. Will they survive or should i try to veg them under my 250w cfl for a few weeks? I just feel like i dont have enough room to veg 5 diesel ryders and 4 other seeds under my light.

UPDATE...........

So i graduated from school and i am finally home/able to take care of this plant. You'll see that it was mistreated by my brother, under watering and failed lighting. Anyway, here are some new pics of it finally flowering.

I flowered about 4 weeks ago and i am not sure why but it has only grown 2-3 inches. I was told that it would double height during the flowering phase, but then again its only been 4 weeks.
I'll be happy with with 7 grams, what do you think it will yeild?

you put your plant thru nut lock, which slowed everything down. if you look at the pics you put up, in the second pic you can see you had nut lock, leaves curled down! but she is looking healthier at the top and looking good. But thats why she has not doubled in size like she was suppose to!

I am trying to figure out how my plant went into nute lock because i never added any, the soil was 1/3 time released and 2/3 from my backyard.

thought i would giver your thread a nosey after giving mine one.

Gotta say mate unless thats a new plant you managed to turn something that looked more or less dead into somethign pretty decent. Having next to no experience i cant give much advice but if your still only using one of thos CFL then i would look at getting more.

To put things into a little perspective:
Both another grower and me have the exact same seeds from the same plant. They have thiers under 600w MH and mine are under only 6x36w (216w) Fluero. Thiers have nearly tripled if not quadrupled in size in comparison to mine. So light intensity plays a big role!!

Yeah its the same plant. It grew in a window for 3-4 months and then i re-veged it and then now im flowering it.
I have prety low expectations for it so whatever it yields ill be happy with.
