Should i purchace this light?

*was already right by my tent. Lol excusse my terrible typing, i basically have to type blind because of the lay out on my phone. Can only see mistakes when i post lol.

you'd have to get a speed controller that works on your plug type. you in the UK? that link was for the US type. i'm sure they make ones for others.

what is that white thing on the fan? it says Comar i think. it's attached by the short black wire. maybe a capacitor?

that extraction looks good to me. whatever works: doesn't have to be pretty. and what is on the wall? a small fan going outside??

yeah it does say comar, I think it must be a capacitor. Yeah in the UK mate. That thing on the wall iv connected my ducting to id some type of extractor for using when the previous tennants cooked food in that room... I think. If you pull the white box off, there is a 4" fan that blobs strait through to outside. Convenient! Lol

what causes this? Its on bottom leaves of one plant... Just noticed. Any ideas?

i would be cool with running my big fan and 600hps but the tent is in our living room. My mrs wouldnt appreciate the noise while trying to relax and watch tv lol. Will look into speed controller tho.

they do make a duct muffler in 6" and 8" that will make it really quiet too. like a muffler for a car in design.

are you worried about smell going outside to the neighbors?

you could put a bigger fan in the tent pointing up and that should help force the air out of the tent which should drop temps a few.

that pic of the leaf doesn't look good. looks to me like not enough N? what nutes you using?

yeah I was thinking N. I'm using bio bloom by biobizz its NPK is 2.0-7-4. I stopped the bio grow a week ago as I thought the small amount a N in the bloom feed would be enough. I was maybe thinking it was manganese or magnesium def altho iv been giving Epsom salts recently. I hate diagnosing deficiencies lol. Its a right nightmare. Always could be so many things and you try fixing it with one thong and if your wrong then it gets much worse lol. Who ever said growing weed was easy haha.

I know bottom leaves do go yellow and fall off. Iv lost a couple sets on that plant. They went brown tips yellow then all brown and crispy. I sorted that out and now iv noticed this. Its got a propper pattern so it kinda seems more serious. Looks cool tho lol. If I didn't laught id only cry haha

if you still have a few weeks left, i'd try to fix it. maybe add a touch of grow to your next nute batch.

growing weed is easy. growing A+++ quality weed is hard.

yeah I will do. Do u recon I shold give a lil grow now? Or wait till next feed? Also iv been lookin at adjustable ballast's. Iv found one for £69.00 I don't wanna get it to find out its still to hot. It ranges from 250 to 650w. If I was to get it and run it at 400... Lets say.. And it was still to hot. If I turned it to 250 would it do better than the 400 cfl I already have? I imagin it prob would as iv seen how much light they kick out lol. I wouldn't have to keep turning my plant in the back corner to get light on all its leave. Would u say that my 400w cfl would be hotter and weaker than 250/400w hps? I wont hold you too it lol... Just be nice to get an apinion before splashing more cash. If all fails at least ill still have a nice adjustable ballast to use some time. I'll givce u a link to have a look at the make... Seems cheap but I'm sure it will work lol.

yeah, i'd add some grow now. your plant needs N and it's sucking it out of the lower leaves first. it will get worse if not fixed.

that's a nice looking ballast. in my opinion, a 400 w hps will be cooler than 400 w of CFL.

ok awsome. Do u really think it would be cooler yeah.. Thas with a bare bulb not in any typ of hood.. Just a reflector. Iv gotta go for it if its cooler or even the same as now. Yeah I have a desk fan rigged up in the tent. I can't really afford it at th moment but its gonna make a big difference eh. Better check the bank ballence lol.

thats a cool looking fan. Iv had an ide a might try now. Because the reflector on my hps is pretty huge... When i put it in my tent the reflector acts as its own kind of roof. If i hang it at a 45degree angle then heat should escape better. Its a pain in the arse always trying to swap lights only to find out its too hot.... Again lol. I might try that tho.

could you post a few pics of the inside of the tent?

the only way to really figure out how to set it all up is to try different combos of fans, lights, reflectors etc.

i think if you could move some more air into and out of the tent, your temps should drop. how much is hard to guess.

I'm gonna gonna get some pics of the inside of the tent. In a min. I'm really temted just to stick the 600 in there. A guy on another thread of mine is saying its fine to run a 35 celcius... He grew his first grow at those temps.. He says that that amout of light at that heat is better than my CFL amount of light at my current temperature, I kinda see his point. I have read tho that ove 28 c your plant stops photosynthesis at its full potential. This guy showed me his grow pics and they look pretty good. Fuck... I dunno lol.

Not to but in here, but I can only imagine using hps. Fem seeds also.

I mean, there are applications and instances where its appropriate but there's usually a solution.

What kind of yeilds do you see using led, cfl, and autos?

Personally, I'd go open wing with Portable ac, for a closet grow, 5000 btu ac, 1000 watt light. Hands down...

just be careful running that hot. when you get over 85F (30C), the plant will start slowing down it's photosynthesis. keep a close eye on it for any signs of heat stress.
