If there's two plants under a 430 hps son agro both fairly big and bushy, would it be necessary to trim a branch or fan leaves in the second week of flowering. I only ask because of a bit of wilting has occured.

I guess the best way to answer this is to say leaf feeds your plant, when nuts are off the plant draws from the stored nutrients in the leaf so its good to have them.

When a leaf turns over 50% yellow it is no longer an asset and I say remove them.
There are others that would disagree and say there is still nutes in there but I would rather have the light working on the healthy leaf below it.

I don't have any problem with yellowing of the leaves, the plant is actually doing perfectly fine now it just seemed to need some water yesterday. Since the plants are about 5 feet tall and bushy i'm beginning to believe 430 hps (Son Agro) won't be enough to fully bud her. will i be fine?

Nope, you are right. Thats probably not enough light. I dont let my lower buds get more then 18 inches away from the bulb.

I remember my first indoor grow. I wanted four foot tall plants too. Then I found out indoor grow lights are not exactly the sun. lol

Yours are five foot?
If you were to ask me how I would light it properly, I would say one 600w on each side. one foot above the tallest bud and off to the side a bit.

Another idea and what most growers do indoors is bend the upper third or so of the plant over and tie it. Lets you even out the canopy and the lower buds can catch up some. Then you could do it with two 400w lights.
