Should I use a 1500W HPS, 100W MH, or both?

Unfortunately it seems as if everything here (I'm legal in Colorado) is organic which I'm not a big fan of so I'm just going to grow some fire for myself...

I've got nine plants right now, and a few more on the way. They are clones in rockwool approximately 2-3 weeks old (not 100% sure, came from a dispensary). I have them in 1 & 2 gallon pots now because b/c roots were coming through the rockwool.

I have a Sweet Island Skunk, White Rhino, Mad Man Purp, 2 Big Bud, 2 Afgooey, and 2 Grape Ape. They are all under a 1500W HPS currently. I also have a 1000W MH (just need a bulb), should I use this in addition to, or in place of the HPS?? I know the MH resembles the Spring sun with a blue color and is great for vegetative growth, and the HPS resembles the Harvest sun with a red/orange color and is used mostly for flowering. Would it be better to use just the MH, or both for vegetative growth. Seems like it would be better to use both lights because it would put off nearly 2x the lumens.

Also I'm thinking about using a full Humboldt Nutrients line. Anybody have any experience with these? I would be using ALL of the following:

Base Nutrients
- Master A
- Master B

Beneficial Bacteria
- Mayan MicroZyme
- Prozyme

Root Stimulants
- White Widow
- Humboldt Roots
- Myco Madness

Additives
- Verde (growth enhancer)
- SeaCal (calcium supplement)
- SeaMag (magnesium supplement)
- DeuceDeuce (potassium supplement)
- Hum-Bolt (humic acid)
- FlavorFul (refined humic acid)

Supplements
- Humboldt Sticky (foliar agent)
- Big Up Powder(bloom enhancer)
- Ginormous (bloom enhancer)
- Humboldt Honey ES (carbohydrate)
- Royal Flush (flushing agent)
- Structural Integrity (silicate to maximize yield)

In what week should I start giving nutrients?

What?

You don't like organically grown pot? How do you tell the difference?

You sound like you know what you're doing, but you don't know to use as much light as possible if you can control the heat?

Or that a combination of HPS ad MH is ideal for flowering, even though you have large HIDs in both spectrums?

You have plants in flower buy you haven't fed them yet? Are you growing organically?

I'm really, super high right now on some chemically grown C99, but....

What?

My plants are only 2-3 wks old. Clones that came from a dispensary. They are in 1 and 2 gallon pots now and will be transplanted as soon as they are rootbound. I have not started feeding them yet, and none of them are flowering yet, they are only a couple of weeks old. Also I am absolutely NOT growing organic. I did not think that it was good for the plants to be under a MH when flowering, only HPS!? Seems like the different light spectrums would "confuse" them into thinking they did not need to flower yet due to the MH putting off Spring/blue colors?!

It may just be me (or it may just be Colorado), but I dont think that organically grown marijuana has near the potency, taste, or density of sooped up chemically-grown bud. Cali may just have me spoiled, because I've smoke lots of Cali bud and been disappointed less than a handful of times with the product. I have yet to buy a strain from a dispensary here in Colorado that stood out at all. Dispensaries here seem to carry mostly organic bud, and I just havnt been very thrilled about the quality.

its not the color of the light that tells the plant what to do, the plant can just use specific spectrums for specific types of growing, so vegitative growth uses more of the 5500-7000K spectrum, while flowering uses more of the 2000-3500K spectrum, but the plant will use as many spectrums of light as you can throw at it for its building blocks...its not going to "confuse" it...it uses the cycles of light/dark to tell it when to do things(unless its an autoflower strain).

Cool deal. Thanks man.

its just you dude. organic is the way to go, unless of course you like the taste of fertilizers and crackling buds that dont burn even. yielding a pound per plant is fun and all but when it doesnt taste anything resempling marijuana (like all of the bud frome very dispensary ive ever shopped at except for kind love in glendale, which grows organic btw) then whats the point? if you take the time for a good medium like supersoil or if you brew guano teas like i do and topdress with bat guano, your nugs will smell like freshly plucked mangos from the equator.

the golden goat from kind love is grown all organic and tests on average at 27%. i dont supports roids in sports let alone MMJ, amazing things can happen if your willing to put the time in instead of taking hazardous shortcuts like purple maxx

Everybody flushes only at the end of their harvest, look at Greenhouse Seeds video journals, they flush three times throught the flowering period, i do the same, no my buds dont crackle at all and they burn white.

dont just quit because your product isnt bomb the first time, organic of course always burns killer and you dont need to flush with organic nutes, just go lightly on the nutes all the way through.

So what isn't this strain the number one on the list of strongest strains 2012???,

Use those together for an even more quality harvest than the hps alone.
look on youtube there are videos with the comparisons of just hps, and hps with metal halide, the results were way more favorable for the mixture of the two lights. bigger nugs, more resin content and less hairs.

but that is a lot of wattage, if u can do it, i would do it.
