Sorry to pull up an old thread but this setup here, with the fan inside. Does it make a loud humming noise being hung like this? I have my fan sitting outside of the tent on a box but can hear humming throughout the house.
should I use this cool tube or wing reflector?

Do you have the fan mounted to studs? If so that is probably why. When I mounted mine to the studs it would rattle them extremely loud. I fixed this by just hanging it from the studs with bungee cords so the fan was free floating. No more noise even on high.
