Plants not that big either so unless the plant shoots up the pot should suffice...

Hmm, really?
I water a metered amount every day at lights on. I run organic super soil water only style on 90% of my run.
On the synthetic ones, never had a problem there either by daily watering.
I have NEVER had a "build up" problem and I don't "flush" periodically ever!
Avoid Urea based nutrition.
Water one day feed the next, repeat till done (synthetic nutrition).
By watering every day I put MORE 02 to the roots and that's a GOOD thing over not getting any fresh for 3+ days.

Yep that sounds perfect like I said before if u no ur plant it shouldn't b a prob in fact the exact opposite it's better for the plant...

Both of u r right give a drink when needed all the better athlete's drink just to keep energy up think about it ....hydrate when needed...
