Wanted to give everyone an update.....
the trichromes have finally started to turn amber at the colas, I only found a couple with a noticeable amber tone, so I am going to wait until the soil dries out a bit and pull that cola and keep an eye on the rest of the growth so i can pull them at the right times....
I am glad that I ended up waiting though, in the short amount of time the buds have fattened up a lot!
