my dad is slow enough to be on disability (functional he can drive and read a bit), my mom is normal as are my brother and I. I don't think it made much of a difference. The old man is one of the kindest people I know, he'd help anybody who needed it. That is much more than I can say for many "normal" people

very good question! idk what to think about this either. My 7foot tall "little" bro has been diagnosed a few years ago with paranoid schizophrenia. He's very throwed off to say the least. Smart, responsible parents know that when they have a sexually active teenage daughter that she should be put on birth control, makes sense to most.

Not all parents are equal in that sense but we as a society can usually see what is right and wrong when others may not.

Unbelievably TRUE, this is a dream of mine also. Why, Why, do people always want to shove there believes down other peoples throats.

Live your own life, stop worrying about others lives. I used to be a controlling freak, I used all my energy up worrying about other people.

I finally learned some hard lessons, but I now have unlimited time to have fun in my live.

Now as back to topic, this leads into it. Let them run there own lives and you run your live, it is as simple as that.

Problem is, we're already a society and things others do affect the lives around them.

Taxpayers have to pay for people too incompetent to care for themselves.

Prisons have to house degenerates at the taxpayers cost.

Welfare, housing, food programs, schools, all being affected because the way our society runs.

If society has to take care of people then there's a problem.

I understand where you are coming from. I quess it may be just a different train of thought, neither right or wrong.

I will preface this first before I state my position, I do not in anyway think I am so great for how I think, it is simply just how I think.
I tend to humble myself, call me a modern day Robin Hood at times.
Usually I will trumpet the case of the underdog and go out of my way to help.
I tend not to think of my needs first, not saying other people don't either, this is just my position.
I would rather live with less than to see somebody hurting, my upbringing burned of pain, so I would rather not see somebody else live through it.

This probably sounds a bit grandeous, but I don't know how else to write it.

So apply this thought process to this thread and you know why I state things as I do.
