I think he's just a kid. Have you seen their movies? Xi has censored the shit out of them. I watch what's available on Netflix and am amazed at the militaristic, nationalist propaganda they contain. It's not all bad. Some of their historical drams follow the written history quite well, although their love of melodrama is hard to sit through. Its as if it's written for kids.

As Beijing rejigs its debt-ridden economy by diktat this year, a parallel operation is emerging in the sphere of culture. Media regulators have banned the display of “effeminate men,” ordering broadcasters to promote content with “traditional Chinese culture” instead. They have also publicly shamed or silenced “morally corrupt” celebrities, and shuttered fan communities. In schools, education regulators are expunging classrooms of foreign influence such as foreign textbooks and English-language courses. At the same time, in an effort to “cultivate masculinity” in schools, they have hired more gym teachers and promoted sports programs. Broadly speaking, the Party has become ever more concerned over the future of Chinese youths, how they spend their time, the role models they look up to, and the kinds of content they are exposed to.

The new policies are part of larger currents that have existed for several years. Decades of history exist in China regarding celebrity crackdowns, enforced heteronormativity, and the prioritization of “traditional Chinese” culture over foreign aesthetics. This year, though, the rules have coalesced into a larger vision about society, its culture, and how youths should behave in what Xi Jinping has billed as “the new era.” State attacks on “‘sissy men’ and “niáng pào” 娘炮 [effeminate, camp, or gay], all these ways of speaking have been around for a few years, so they aren’t fundamentally new,” Fang Kecheng, a professor of journalism at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, told SupChina. “But this time, I think they fit into a larger strategy, one that encompasses a holistic rethink of the way society should be organized.” If prior instances of cultural reforms occurred sporadically, the recent move suggests that a more strategic and steady hand has grasped the steering

That logic goes back almost three thousand years. Zhou dynasty stuff. China's history is fascinating to me.

Do you think Biden doesn't know that and hasn't taken it into consideration?

There is no greater danger than underestimating your enemy.
The new trolls act like we still have Demento for a president..instead of a Statesman who spent nearly 20 years in Congress and 8 years as our Beloved President Barack Obama's Vice President because thats how much they were loved. TWO TERMS WORTH.

We couldn't kick that ORANGE FUCK TO THE CURB QUICK ENOUGH.

Love ya @Fogdog.

i am not saying you are retards i am just saying russia is a serious opponent.
Of course, but they also have been spamming their brainwashing propaganda nonstop for at least a decade now, so it is difficult to buy a lot of what Putin is selling.

Shit Biden called out everything Putin ended up pulling before it could start forcing Putin into a 'huh-uh' right before he did it. I would have a lot more faith in our current non-Putin puppet government to be doing as much as they can to get to a optimal solution with a mess that a megalomaniac dictator is causing.

good thing russia has one of the best anti air XD
There is a window joke here somewhere.

I believe we do give the proverbial aerial apposition. But sometimes,
Right, but look at now; time to stop letting OUR troops die when we get dragged into bullshit like this. Unfortunately we can't always see that the car has 10 kids playing in it; they use children as human shields and are more than happy to suicide bomb their way to heaven and take as many with you as they can of their OWN.

At least we apologize and give reparations for lives lost; there's no consolation in war.

Wait until Putin invades another country, more than likely a NATO nation. Xi will invade Taiwan, because he will know how stretched out the US will be.
he won't have enough men to do much more invading...he's going to have to leave a lot of men stationed in Ukraine to keep the resistance from rising up and throwing out a skeleton force, then he would have to invade all over again, with resistance fighters holding a lot of his equipment and using it against him.
with that many men stationed as "peace keepers" his army will be severely depleted.
and...if the NATO nations hold together, the sanctions will cut his purse strings before he can mount another major offensive anywhere...

Thanks. I never would have considered that if you hadn't told me.

But actually, you are saying we are the R word. You may not realize it, but that word can be hurtful to people. Is it OK if we don’t use it and we say something like ‘ridiculous’ instead?
man you remind me of someone i know named Darst....

War is messy. Surgical strikes still use a machete and not a scalpel.

What Xi says he's doing and what people will do are two different things. He made himself and his government look foolish to the more informed younger crowd inside and out of China.

Football (the game played with the round ball) fans would call that kind of mistake an own goal.

Let's hope. We'll see what the Russian people say if there's lots of bloodshed. All in all a egomaniac shit storm.
