also kicking out Russia from SWIFT now faces less critics here... I don't know if it's beneficial in the long run to push them right to the Chinese pay...

SWIFT is a lot of trade.
The news says that the E.U. does 250 Billion Dollars of trade, USA does $125 billion and others do around $100 billion.
Cutting them off from SWIFT will hurt everyone but I think it should happen.
We would be saving a lot of Goats me thinks.
Even though the election landslides; we needed Ukraine to tell the truth. They left our Democracy to twist in the wind. This is why you don't do that because you never know when you're going to need World Police.

It's like having a lover you are angry enough with to not date them but then you need them so hating them isn't all that important because we want what we want.
I'm sure this is geopolitical thing and I am rooting for Russia to fail bigly.
Then again we do have White Nationalists in Congress that are rooting for Russia during this year's CPAC like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene
Let us remember there are Enemies of the USA both foreign and domestic.

McConnell took some distance, but that is not principle; it is political calculus.
The enemy of my enemy does not stand the 'friend test'. Friends don't tuck their tails between their legs and run when the going gets tough.
Right now we are the enemy of the enemy..we also have a long memory of only 18-24 months ago. We remember how that friend abandoned us.

I remember thart Michael Flynn may have ordered the murder of protesters when he was there in the Ukrainian Capital back in the day. He was the only "big dawg" on the property when the order came down from the Palace.
There is no doubt in my mind that corruption is rife however I find it much more enjoyable to root for the underdog.
