Shrinking/Curling/Yellowing of the Bottom Half. Whats happening?!

Hi Guys.

Desperate for advice. Its only coming to week 3 of flowering and she looks tired. Her leaves half shrunk and curling up. Most of her lower half have turned yellow. The Details:

- Indoor plant in soil.
- Soil watering every 3rd - 4th day.
- Spray bottle watering onto fan leaves once a day.
- Flowering/Budding Stage week 3.

I hope this is just temporary and can be reversed. Can this be caused by lacking of Nitrogen?

Really sad to see her like this. Wish I knew what to do. Appreciate any advise. Thanks.

i know durring flowering some leaves turn yellow, but i don't know how far into flowering, hopefully a more novice grower will help ya... but i will suggest stop spraying leaves with water because you can harm the buds

Hi dude,

This is my take on that photo;

The good news is, you a got little a bud to smoke in the next 10 days or so.

The bad news, your plant looks about done.

To me that plant looks like it's run out of water at some point and tried to get the buds ripe fast as possible. Notice how the hairs have turned brown already after just 3 weeks.
I'd say cut them down and dry and cure them. They will smoke, not sure how good though.

Then you need to start again and make sure you water your plant properly.

That's my take, see what others say too but I don;t think that can be reversed.

id say volcano is right, but id still leave her going for a few more days. defo stop watering the leaves. it looks like there wasnt enough light for the plant. you see how airy the buds look, generally a sign of not enough light, could also be the reason it flowered so fast.

what lights are you using, and also, when did it show its sex?

^I'm glad the brown pistils were mentioned, because I failed to notice that when i looked at the pic. As mentioned, it's possible that it's been underwatered, and it's also possible that it's starved of nitrogen, and has been pollinated. Or, some combination thereof. If I were you and i wanted to try to salvage what was left, I'd hit it with a full strength veg fert, along with a heavy watering. I've had some pretty sad looking plants before, and managed to nurse them back to moderate health, while still getting a decent yield out of them, and good smoke. If it recovers, you'll see a bunch of fresh white pistils sprouting all over the place, and new growth will start again. If there's a hermie around, or a male, and it has been pollinated already, it's pretty much screwed unless you want a bunch of seeds.lol And personally, if the seeds came from hermie pollinated plants, I would never use them. That's just asking for more hermies, IMO.

Anyway...I hope it's not pollinated, and i hope it recovers, because it's still early enough that it won't be a total loss. :)

Tell us more about the details. What kind of lights? What has been your watering schedule?. What have you been feeding them during veg? What have you been feeding them since flowering? Was your grow room sealed from outside light sources during flowering when the lights were off?

What about your ph? jawbrodt has given you some good advice and insight, do not give up on that plant. Do like jaw said and feed her. Every plant deserves a chance to be smoked:peace:

I was thinking the same thing, but do ya think that the folier feeding he's doing could also have negative affect on the pistols?

Good info, think this should be taken into consideration, from my readings on here, I came to the same conclusion before reading this, but who knows Iam no expert.

First off, thanks guys for all the attention.

I made a mistake.. its not 3 weeks into flowering but almost 3 months. She started flowering in mid Jan. She only started showing her sex after 6 months. Being a late bloomer I thought that this could be the reason as to why her buds are not of decent size yet considering shes into week 11 of flowering. I thought she just takes longer than usual. My growing method should explain why:

- I do not use any grow lamps/lights. I rely on natural sunlight.

- During the day shes out in the open or indoors by the balcony. Before flowering and till now she spends bout 12 hrs in total darkness in a storage room. (Yes i carry her around the house for months)

- Food: During veg I feed her with a miracle grow solution once a week. N-15 P-13 K-12. Flowering I mix potash into her soil. Bout a handful of potash and done this 2 times in 11 weeks.

- Watering schedule: As mentioned once every 3 -4 days and the miracle gro solution once a week.

I should add that my location is Australia and its the start of Autumn. I can be sure and certain that she has ever ran out of water nor has she been pollenated by any males. I have not given up on her yet thats for sure. Maybe shes ready to be harvested despite the size of her buds? :(

Thanks guys for all the advise. Also can anyone identify her breed? LOL....

Thank You.
