Shroom grow issues

Hey I'm new here and this is my first magic mushroom grow. They came out of the jars pure and free from contamination but as they started to grow in one day they all died and have purple stuff on the cakes themselves. Has anyone seen anything like this? I want to try again but I need to know how to make sure this doesn't happen again. Any wisdom would be appreciated.

the purple stuff is spores. The mushrooms (fruiting bodies) release them so that the mycelium can reproduce. If you want shrooms to eat you should pick them right before or after the veil opens, after it opens spores are released from the gills on the underside of the cap.

try for BEFORE they open, many people have spore allergies.

the purple are spores. when i harvest i usually do it right before the viel breaks but unless there a huge cap whitch i wait till it opens up to get a spore print, hows your FAE (fresh air exchange) theres alot of precipitation in that box ?

this is what happens when you don't pick em before cap opens. Btw, there are cases of purple mold contam, but i doubt you have it.
