ok, i reeeeeely dont feel like going to the trouble of doing those mushroom jar thingys so i was thinking... the spore syringe im looking at, SporeStore.com - 100% Clean & Viable Spores for Mycological Research > White Morel say that they grow on hardwood sawdust (watever that is)so, if i go out in my back yard and lay down some regular old sawdust and just drip some spores all over it will it grow?? and if they wont then what should i do cuz i dont hav money to get a box or anything. any cheep ways to do this besides that jar thing with the boiling and stuff cuz i dont think i have the time and motivation to do that. haha.

????? you want to grow a mushroom you could just go to a store and buy, the ones you linked to don't contain psilocin or psilocybin. But if you just spray the syringes all over only about 1 in 100 will colonize, which is pathetic compared to what you could have with a sterile setup.

Not that hard to do PF style jars. You just have to pay for vermiculite and brown rice flower which runs you all of $10-15 and then pressure cook which takes like an hour which isnt very long and even if you dont have a pressure cooker you can still steam it for twice as long. Secondly you obviously dont know what you are doing so you definately shouldnt start with morels of all mushrooms seeing as theyre about the most difficult you could have picked. Third, a hard wood would be something like maple or oak, from a deciduous tree, a softwood would be from a coniferous tree such as pine which is too acidic for shrooms due to certain resins (pinene in particular).
