so i got some spores and followed the pf-tek and a week and a half later nothing is growing at all. no contams or anything. has anyone else had this happen to them?

Could be several things. Jars could have still been too hot or an extremely thin spore solution. Could also be too hot or cold where you are incubating them. Was there clearly purple spores visible in the syringe? I'd give it maybe a few more days, but if all ten jars show nothing after 2 weeks I'd say something went wrong. Either not enough spores or jars were hot and they were all killed.

it took me 2 weeks in a spore bag. i'd say keep it nice and dark and hold out a week or 2

two weeks is a long time if your temperature is in the 80's or even high 70's. look very very closely and then, if in a few more nothing happens, reinnoculate. I know of instances where syringes were frozen or left too long and everything in them died.

yeah well i did mess up alot. i didnt know you shouldnt pack in the mix so i did that on a couple also didnt wait for a couple jars to completely cool but dont thinki killed the spores since i see growth but most of them seem to have germinated so now i gotta wait for it to fully colonize.

Live and learn man. But yeah you want the jars fairly loose. I usually lightly tap the jar on the counter once when it's about half full and again at the end to get rid of any big air pockets.

There are some videos called "Let's Grow Mushrooms" that might be helpful to watch if you already haven't.
