Shroom jars wont colonize?

2 and a half weeks ago I used the pf tek and used steam to sterilize the jars and after I took the pots off the heat I let them cool for about 5-6 hours then I knocked the 7 jars up with about 2cc's each. Now,I checked the jars and only one out of the 7 is colonising, and it only has a quarter-sized spot of mycelium. What couldve gone wrong?I really hope I dont have to knock them up again since I only have about 2cc's left.

Where did you get spores from?
Did you shake syringe before using?
I would wait longer than 5-6 hours for jars to completely cool down.

micro-supply.com,I heard good things about them so I decided to try them, and yes I shook the syringe,if I remember correctly that is.

Yea so probably not bunk spores with a reputable vendor, you should really let your jars cool over night so that the middle of the jar becomes room temp or they will bake your spores.

So will they colonize eventually but surely?or shall I inject them again and order more spores?

If they were destroyed by heat then they will not grow. I would wait another week and see what happens, then inject more and get more spores if no growth. Make sure you follow pf tek measurements exact so jars don't get too dry or wet and you should be fine.

2cc per jar is way too much, if you have a bunch of wet jars they won't colonise.

1cc per jar using the pf tek brown rice flower. also let those cool over night...

make sure that your ratio of water is good too..i messed mine up the first time..it takes awhile to colonize those too but you probably should see more than that at that time..

do 1/4 cc per hole..
