Yeah maybe , saying that , i bought some root riot cubes before that were all mouldy and stuff after i opened the packet , i will post pics later and update them , daily so we can see....

Thats sucks. Must have been some old ass plugs. I had an unopened bag sit around for a year with no issues.
Tear out the plant and re-use.
Oh i still used them , i just washed them out and pre soaked in mineral water , the mould never re appeared , i know i should not of risked it but i hate to throw money away ...

No i didnt , to be honest it's the only issue i ever had with them and as i still used them , i thought , good Karma and all......
You may want to consider inoculating the cubes with something like Great White (beneficial bacteria and Myco's). The addition of high populations of bennies will crowd out the bad stuff (mold, etc.) It will also stimulate root growth. It'll be interesting to see how this turns out. Best of luck my friend.

I think the root riot cubes are inoculated with bennies. I could be wrong, but I know that Rapid Rooters are inocculated.
