Side lighting

Got my sidelights up and switched to flower. Overkill?? I don't see why not. I turned down my upper light to about half. My sides are about 30 watts per strip. I'm gonna ramp up over time but they look happy as of now. Upper light is a ac infinity evo 8 and side lighting is a rdj bouns 720 cut up.

Looks like they'll eventually be growing too close to the strips, no?

I'm all about side lighting but yes that's prob overkill lol. The prob I always find with side lighting inside a tent is when the plant grows up into the lights the stuff in front gets too much light. All I do now is run 3x 3ft sunblaster led conversion bulbs on the sides and back of the tent. I've thought about running one strip down the middle of the tent between the plants but haven't really done that yet. It 100% helps those lowers stay tighter and helps with overall stretching etc.

You def get better results being able to distance the side lighting adequately if you aren't in a tent, or if you aren't going wall to wall with plants in the tent. I keep toying with the idea of getting an actual room going again, and scrap the tents. Just haven't gotten around to doing to work lol. I might just do it this summer in my growing off time. But then again I've been saying that for three years now.... bongsmilie
