Silicone Air-Line Tubing?

Hey guys. In the pet store there is regular clear and green silicone air line tubing... any reason one is better then the other (for hydroponics)? Thanks, just curious

Same same if you can feel a weight difference then there is a quality difference. Both will work just fine.

You might find that the thicker will not kink as easily. it might be worth the extra buck if your moving your hoses a lot.

I sprang for the silicone tubing. It will last years longer than the plastic shit, and it is much more flexible as well. It also does not hold a shape like the plastic stuff does. I have a need to remove my air hoses from the pump frequently. I find that that plastic tubing ends "hold" the shape of the nozzle, which can lead to the airline coming loose. The silicone airlines do not do this, so I don't have to worry about my lines accidentally coming off.
