Simple & Quick grow

I’ve only ever grown outdoor in the past, but have since moved north and no longer able to do that year round. My problem is that I am looking to grow a small amount of plants quickly but don’t have the time to go about setting up a complicated system (will do that in a few months). What I’m looking for is a quick and efficient way to grow to product in 3 months or so. Ideally if possible I’m looking for something as simple as some lights, plants in pots and either a very simple and cheap hydro system or even water by hand.

Does anyone have any quick suggestions on what would be the bare minimum needed to get this set up going and off the ground? Not looking for anything special, just the cheap bare minimum for one cycle of growing.

Appreciate any of the help.

you can get a 400w HPS system with ballast on Ebay for only 109.00 brand new!!
or a smaller 150w hood w/ ballast for 94.00 at home depot.

no aerogarden bad choice but you could use some floresent bulbs. Kinda efficent but growth may be slow. To make up for any thing bing slow you can grow with 24 hr light.

personally.. i think the aerogarden is a waste of money. and you cant just buy it and then put some seeds in and grow great weed. if you want a hydro system just make one yourself..

My plan is to start off with 6 plants, all i could fit in my space at the most and grow them there on 16/8 just to get the larger and stronger. From there I can take a small clone of each and sex them. Rather than using them as mothers (since I'm only doing one cycle) i figured I can just take my female plants, get a good light for flowering and put it on a 12/12. I figured from start to finish with this should be maybe 3 months at most.

I guess i could say my only issue here is my water system. I'm just trying to figure out if a basic hydro system is a nessesity or if i could get away with just hand watering these plants. I'm going to go with the bare minimum on everything, so not expecting anything spectacular in terms of finished product, but as long as it's smokeable i'll be happy for the time being.

I figure the two lights will put me back about 100$, the planters, fert, nutriance and basin will be around another 50 so idealistically if 50$ can get a basic hydro i will do that.

I think I'll just go with a very basic soil set up. Since I'm in a small closet am I correct to assume that cfl are the best light source to go with? I guess my other option would be a mh or hps but i'm not thinking it would be worth it for just one simple grow.

i guess my only remaining question would be, for 4-6 plants how much lights do you think I would need, assumeing i go with and use the basic clfs. Thanks.
