simple way to grow autos? Help

Hello everyone. Ok I know you have seen me ask alot of questions. I have been reading and learning. I have grown plants before. So I am just asking you opinions on a simple way to grow autos. I have 2 autos that just sprouted today. I have a Girl scout cookies auto from fast buds seeds. I also have a blackberry auto from fast buds seeds. I wanna which simple grow is better. I paid money for my seeds and just dont want to waste them. I was thinking of a 2 gallon hempy bucket with 100% perlite. I could grow in a 3 gallon pot with happy frog soil. I have also seen coco coir in a 2 gallon pot. I will growing indoors with just a 150 watt hps. I have all the items I would need for any of these type of grows. Which would work best for a simple auto grow?

I've been doing hempy and I like the simplicity of it. Plus it's pretty hard to over water since it should have a reservoir. Also perlite is cheap. In the end I think it's really just your preference and what's easiest for you.

I personally prefer 3 gallon smart pots for autos, in soil with a little perlite added. I don't like the idea of hempy because it's basically hydro. PH'ing is a pain and you use more nutes, and have to water more. Basically just more hands on. Not to mention in soil you have a buffer in the lime so if you mess anything up its much more forgiving. Just my 2 cents, but like @jape said. Whatever works for you.

I have a Blue Mystic auto that I started in a 3 gal bucket, ended up moving her to a 5 gal smart pot on day 35 (as it just started flowering-- shush haters!) It was very much root bound in the 3 gal, but I did have a very shallow soil line (FFHF + 20% pearlite) It had no problem being moved, even though this is only my 2nd grow, first female, I have much experience with non-cannabis flowers. I carefully popped her out of the 3 gal, and set it in same exact soil without fluffing, or even touching the roots. The entire container shaped soil block got buried, she didn't mind one bit, in fact I think she got better since she had room to breathe after the move.

Autos seem to have such a bad rep for some reason, but I don't care. I LST mine just to make a make shift ScrOG, and transplant it twice... it's a beautiful plant still. I'm going to be harvesting at the end of May, so we shall see. I have a 2nd Blue Mystic 3 weeks behind this one, in a 5 gal plastic pot, going to just compare the watering times... smart pot I have to water every other day... if not more, but it's VERY hot where I live. I'm at the point where I don't think I'll even be able to grow in the summer months.

plant them under a tree or something that blocks the sun around noon ..... may not be a monster of a plant but they adapt well to whatever lighting

Get a 5-7 gallon container, and fill it with all happy frog.

If you want pure simplicity go:

3 gallon smart pot , coco, Maxibloom only (7 grams or 1 teaspoon per gallon tap water) boom...ph at 5.8 always and yOur good.

I water 2x day 1 gallon total

wow thats crazy. very nice plant. So 3 gallon smart pot. Maxibloom only. Do you start feeding from day 1 in coco?

Sorry my plants a fem not auto.... But I start feeding after 10 days from when they break ground. I add CalMag every feed too.

That's it. Plant speaks for it self

so would maxibloom work for autos too? Would you still feed the same amount from start to finish or maybe half since its a auto?

Is there a reason why you're doing autos ?
The method is called "kiss method" just google that and there's a bunch of great info on THC site. I don't have much experience with autos but the method is worth searching

well I had some free seeds. so this is just a hobby grow. I have 2 plants they both sprouted today. I have them in 2 gallon pots with coco. I was just thinking of how nice it would be to just mix 1 nute and feed. Instead of mixing this and that, checking ph and ppm. Just a simple feed and go auto grow.

hello just finished that strain yeasterday got cut

to let u know it is a short .....xmas tree type of plant

as for how to grow it ...........5 gallon fabric pot with a blend of super soil using organic feed to supply quick building blocks

girl scout is a big plant bushy sativa dom ..........7 gallon planter took a good 3x3 in the area 4 half 5 foot......did 4 oz 10 grams frist run 19.84% thc (cut that 3 weeks back)
black berry is x-mas tree short indica dom..........7 gallon planter took about 2x2 but only got about 2 and half 3 feet tall (no data to give just cut yeasterday 4 more before i can test it 6 more before i can weigh it)

oh blackberry was a calium hog for me

my area is pretty stable in the temp dept ......so all the plants look about the same green healthy (i do not get the hues like others since i do not let the temps flux more then 6-10 degrees u need the 20/30 degree changes to get hues)

as for the smoke and taste .......everyone one loved it .....me personally i like the GSC for day time stuff as for the black berry i can not answer have not tried it 4 more days before i can
