BULLSHIT!

I for one do not buy into this flag waving bullshit. Yes, we americans have many conveniences. I guess we should shut our mouths about all the atrocities in the world; many of them being commited at the hands of our own government - before and during this administration.

I for one, don't wear rose colored glasses just because I have a house and a job. What is not being mentioned here is that IT DOES NOT REQUIRE US TO LOWER OUR STANDARD OF LIVING TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE.

So, yes. love everything that being an american citizen brings you. But hold no illusions that this country's political and military industrial war machine are instigating much of the violence in this world. They are insuring you and I have all these nicities SPICIFICALLY that we do not remove them from power.

Blind national loyalty will not solve the problems of a country being ran be maniacs without a conscience.

Americans aren't so much dissatisfied with the American way of life as they are with the corruption in government and the extreme difference in ownership of the country from the workers to the elites. Yes we have many wonderful things to give thanks about, but there are still 60 million people without health insurance and another 120 million that are under insured. There are children that go to bed in cardboard boxes at night on the streets of our inner city sewers, hungry. There are children contracting cancer from the waste of corporations, there are millions of workers that have lost their 20.00 an hr. jobs and are lucky to find one that pays 1/3 that much. let alone the loss of benefits. Yes there are plenty of things to give thanks about, especially if you are in the top 10% of the income bracket. But not let us forget those on the bottom who struggle every day to get groceries and put a roof over the heads of their families, the 1 million incarcerated felons that are there for drugs (the highest % per capita in the world) the never ending wars that fuel the living standards of the elites. Yes we fortunate "70" % home owners, I believe this to be an erroneous figure, and in all actuality, the banks own 99.999% of these homes anyway, if you don't believe it, just look at all the foreclosures. Life is just wonderful looking through the rose coloted glasses the wealthy wear, but take a stroll down the center of any large city and see what awaits you there
all true.....

Mr I Can Do That For Half
I believe we each can have our opinion on the topic of what our country should be as thats part of the benfits we have as americans..Tck you do know why our gas went so high right?? Thank Billy Clinton. He tore down 8 of our oil refineries before leaving office..not closed tore them down to the ground which now we dont even have the ability to refine the oil as fast as demand for it as we can suppliment our oil supply from our private reserves but no reason to if we can refine what we already have.It takes 6-8 years to build a new refinery from the ground up.Bush signed into order the building of 4 new refineries in the safe zones in his first term in office. So these will be ready for production in the end of McCains first term as the new president. The left over refineries are in zones were hurricanes hit and as we all have seen and read in the last few years oil rigs and refineries keep getting damaged which just pumps the price up fast as can be.So again another Billy Clinton fuck america on his way out..On medicines point of homeless in america I agree it shouldnt be but we have bleeding heart liberals and democratic actors who think the thing to do is send thier money and support overseas to other countries when our own back yard is fucked and would benefit home much better but its not the in thing to do to donate or support american homeless or neeedy but open that wallet and save the african kids and the children in honduras..Stop sending money to other countries and save americas youth and we all benefit..Amsterdamn is cool but if you look they are slowly criminalizing marijuana and shutting down coffe shops by stopping licenses. They are following americas example and soon will have nothing better then us so time will see who is the best country to be in

To anyone that says take a stroll through any major city to see how "good" we have it, at least you can stroll down the city street. I challenge you to stroll through the streets of Mogadishu (hell any country in Africa except maybe 2 or 3), the Gaza Strip, etc and then ask yourself how bad we truly have it. Here you can actually voice your opinion, whether you think its censored or not. There you get shot. Thats it, no protest, no internet to rant on. Nobody appreciate a godamn thing is this country. Its always gimme gimme gimme or what have you done for me lately fucking pathetic.

Also to anyone that thinks we don't have it that great read The Greatest Generation by Tom Brokaw. Maybe that will open your eyes.

there are two kinds of people in this world.......ill summerize

one who waits for duck to fly in mouth must wait a long time.

do you think that person will whine a lot while waiting?

the early bird catches the worm,

do you think the people who slept in are gonna try to get a bite of that worm?

lastly i will address this to medi, you are so worried about the starving homeless but if you just sold your computer lived in a smaller place and have no tv and stuff you could save so many lives. but its a fact that you wont do that, so makes you a hypocrite,

I have no illusions that if I sold my house and got a cheaper place got rid of all the perks in my life I could prolly feed hundreds of dieing starving little boys and girls. but I consciously do not do it. that makes me a killer pretty much, i have no illusions of this, im no better than saddam Husain for all these babies I let die just so i have a nice new pair of shoes or fancy dinner

to bad you liberals blind yourselves to your own greed and murder of the starving.

at least I admit what i am, never forget how greedy you really are.

I always look at like if someone is going to complain about living in this country well then get the fuck out. Why live here and bitch..oh thats right cause if you go somewhere else you have possibility of getting shot for what not paying their government on the day the payment is due or because some ruler of that country kid wants to go ran sack a village for fun killing everyone. Also I have a problem to though and thats all the fuckin illegals we have in this country. We send more money to them for them to get here instead of trying to stop them from being, because it does cost some of them money to get here I think about 5k. Even though that's happening I'm still not going anywhere cause I know this is the safest place for me or if i could find an island for myself where I can start my own form of government then I would leave.

what if most people are unhappy with the direction their country is heading in not because they live a pampered lifestyle but because most of them have enough compassion for the rest of the world and wonder why if america is supposedly so high in comparison to other countries, it gets so much negativity placed on its citizens as a whole, when it is the few individuals in power who, for a quick buck, suppress the common idea of world equality in turn earning resent?

Just because we have all those things doesnt mean we have to like the Bush administration

What kind of logic is that?

If your father put a roof over your head, food, water clothing gave you a nice car along with all the freedom etc that you could possibly endure does that mean your supposed to like the fact he puts his dick in your ass twice a week?

I dont mean to be so blunt but people arent complaining about all the good things now are they?

Theyre complaining about a lieing cheating administration and they have the right to do so despite all the 'great' things we have

apples to oranges bro... apples to oranges

well said. well said. I think ppl are complaining because all these great things to be thankfull for are being taken away.

A baby doesnt cry about it's soother untill you take it away. I don't complain about my computer/flat screen tv/healthcare untill it doesn't work. think about it. edit. disregard the health care part I'm canadian.

Must have had a little extra time on his hands due to the writers strike. Too bad they had to come back; I might have started watching if he was as sincere nightly.
