Slinger's 300 watt LED grow, Purple Cadillac and Grand AK

61 days of 12/12

Watered yesterday gave each plant 3 gallons of Ph'ed water. A mini flush, that will continue for the next 9 days when watering is needed. We are on the home stretch but it seems like the Grand AK is now putting out more white pistols so possible it was delayed by shock and may need a little extra time to ripen. The Purple Cadillac looks ready to chop honestly, except for the fact that only about 40% of the hairs have turned orange. Over the next week we should see a lot of more them changing over. 3 days before chop date, I will cut off one of the main colas of each plant and check for 50/50 cloudy/amber. If we are not quite there yet, 3 days in the dark should do it keeping us on track for harvest, at least with the Purple Cadillac, I just have this feeling the Grand Ak is gonna take longer.

Quick Update

Check the trich color on the PC today. All cloudy, a couple amber. Looks like we are on track for the harvest date.

Plants are looking awesome, are you accepting wagers on final weight, if so I’m betting on 0.7g/watts. That’s a total guess; I have no idea what LEDs are capable of….lol


I didn’t know that putting plants in the dark would speed up the trichs changing over to brown, which is good to know.


The new growth has me worried, maybe the boost of ferts on the finish line, instead of at the starting gate has retriggered some growth, I think you may see some fox tailing and an 11 to 12 week finish. Let’s hope not and the dark will speed up the trichs.


Still the plants and the harvest will be great, and your journal has ended all my doubt of LEDs, thanks.

Thank you very much man, as far as fox tailing is concerned, I doubt I will be seeing any of that on the Purple Cadillac, I looked in depth at her trichs today and she should be finished by next Friday if not before. The Grand Ak is a whole other story. She is putting out new hairs and I have noticed a little bit of swelling. Both pots were a little light today so Im gonna put through another 3 gallons of Ph'ed water through them. The PC nugs are rock hard where as the GAK is not as solid. Cut a small branch from the lower part of the PC and have it up drying for testing potency and if flushing will cause a difference in the smoke. Snapped a couple pics of the PC today. enjoy

5 Days til Chop

Finally we are getting some fattening action on the Grand AK, its not a lot but its starting which is a good sign to me. It might actually need an extra week more than the PC. Ill see where everything is at on friday. Im so excited and I just want to chop the PC down now but I will be patient. The buds on the PC are rock hard and super sticky. When pulling off some dead leaves from the bottom of the plant my hand came away stinking of citrus and skunk, covered in resin. Had to get the rubbing alcohol out just to get it off. On another note I will be popping the auto seeds soon! 600 watt LED Auto ( 60 Day Lemon, 60 Day Wonder and a couple Cheese strains) Possibly moving in the fall so I dont want to start the breeding til im at the new place. Now I just gotta figure out how im gonna fit 6 x 5 Gallon buckets inside my 36" x 20" x 53" tent haha. Its gonna be a jungle in their and a bitch to water them all since Ill have to pull them out of the tent for watering but all in all I am curious as to what these auto's can do. I know my lights have the capacity to put out fat nugs so fuck yea for LED's!

I appreciate that coming from someone who just recently had an amazing grow themselves.

3 Days til chop. 70 Days of 12/12 today.

The PC is starting to turn all sorts of purple. GAK is fattening up more. Flushed the PC today with 4 Gallons of Ph'ed water. Checked the PPM of the run off and we are at 150 so we are good to go!!!

DNA makes the 60 Day Wonder and 60 day Lemon, there is also Super Cheese auto by Positronic and Cheese Candy by Delicious Seeds. Depending how long it takes for the buds from this harvest take to dry determines when the auto's get started honestly. Space is limited ATM.

Awesome man it's gonna be a long day for me chopping, trimming and then a tattoo appointment haha. Anyways. The anticipation is killing me, I have no idea how much I'm gonna harvest. I just want a qp per plant, won't complain about more though. Enjoy your day of trimming, good Bud cured in about a month from now! Time to pop some new seeds!

That would be sick but they could never get enough detail in the ink to do it justice!

CHOPPED DOWN


Well Guy the plants have come down and all the main colas have been trimmed and are hanging up to dry. Hella long process, over 6 hrs spent trimming them up. Left all the little buds intact with no trimming, drying as is and will be turning them into hash. Mostly likely oil but im tempted to try my hands at making some shatter. I am confident I got atleast 7 oz of main nugs, dont think I will be weighing out the little buds but who knows maybe ill trim them up after they dry just for total weight verification. The Grand AK nugs are actually pretty nice, where previously I thought they might be worthless they probly yielded more than the Purple Cadillac. Weight report in 2 weeks. stay tuned.
