So the fabric grow bags have been ordered and I have a sneaking suspicion that Santa is bring me a 1000w Hortilux super HPS. This basically means I have until Christmas to get the plants transplanted and flipped to 12/12. Maybe I'll flip them Christmas day. It is probably going to require a substantial amount of training to control height keeping them in veg that long but it could also lead to some beautiful plants.

It's kinda funny, since my first crop came down with just under a pound of manicured buds I have not been in any kind of rush to flip these plants. I am just enjoying watching them do their thing.

Nice of Santa if "he" comes through with the new lamp :) Only a couple of weeks to Xmas, they should be manageable, and large! lol

Yeah, Santa is a pretty cool! Lol.

The plants are growing crazy fast. Four of them (BR #1&2, BH #1&2) are averaging about an inch per day but this will be controlled by topping.

The two BRxBP are looking like they might be shorter phenos which would be good for people with limited height.

I have also noticed a fair amount of trichomes on the fan leaves, I hope this means that the buds will be super frosty.

Santa came early over here with a replacement Vero29 COB fixture for my breeding tent but Santa GroErr paid for it ;)

Sounds like some crazy growth rates on those BR's, not a and thing with a little training for managing the height.

Very interested to see how those BRxBP seedlings go for you. You are the pioneer on this cross but both parents are killer and frost signs in veg are never a bad thing ;)

I would love to get my hands on some Cobs or cmh bulbs but unfortunately the budget won’t allow it. I might try to get some for my Veg room first and build up from there.

I am amazed that curiosity hasn’t gotten you to crack a few BRxBH seeds. They do seem to be different from other strains in the tent.

COBs do take the terps loudness to another level in flowering. I've converted everything except one 32x32" tent where I have an old blurple panel still running. In flowering is where they shine imo.

I have about 10 plants with different crosses to de-seed and keep me busy next while. But that BRxBP cross is high on my list when I start popping again. Could be some fire in there with hash/kush flavours. I'm going away end of January for a couple of weeks so I can't start any more seeds until I get back :( Just keeping all my males & females in veg & clones right now. Will clone them all the day before I leave and they should be rooted when I get back. Then pop a bunch of seeds again :)

Mr & Mrs. Blue Ripper  I get to make seeds!
BR #1 in the green pot is the bigger of the two and is the female. BR #2 is also pretty bushy for a male. It should supply some good pollen.

image.jpg

The three Sisters, all three Blue Harley’s are female. I thought BH #5 had out grown the albino issues but here is a branch with a couple more leaves showing the trait.

The other two are quite a bit darker and taller, #5 is shorter and bushier. BH #5 is the only plant in the room not topped.

image.jpg

?????? I don’t know what gender these two BRxBH are. No signs at all. Hopefully there is a female there because they smell good. But they smell different. #1 is taller and stretchy looking and smells like a straight up skunk. The other is shorter and bushier. It smells like a sweet blueberry.

image.jpg

As I mentioned earlier all the plants are topped except BH #5, I’m going to let it do what it wants.

Good news, that's 4x females so far and fat one's at that :)

Nice to get one + one on those BR's. You might want to flip that male ASAP though, they tend to stretch like mofo's and continue growing right until harvest which is typically 21-24 days from flip. My BX1 male triples + in size when it flowers. Nice thing is both of those are BX1's so crossing them will give you BX2's, should see a good percentage of phenos representative of the mother/father in that cross.

Great pull on the BH phenos at 3-for-3!. Other than the albino mutant they're looking similar in structure and leaf structure. Hoping you get one of the killer mixed THC/CBD phenos, my F1 keeper (mother of these) is still my favourite smoke and requested by anyone who's tried it. The structure on the mother is very similar to BH #2 & #5.

Straight up skunk and blueberry on those BR x BP's aren't the worst smells to be starting with ;) Hopefully they'll show something soon, have to be getting close. Good luck, hoping both are fems to see what flavours come out in those...

Greenleaf Nutrients “Mega Crop” is killing it so far for Veg. I will never go back to bottled nutrients for this stage anyways.

The plants are super healthy and loving life. They are growing quite quickly now and I can hardly wait to see what happens when they go into 5 gallon air bags later this week.

Yeah I’m pretty happy.

These plants are so bushy. It’s going to be a full tent again :bigjoint:. As for the BR#1, I’ll leave it for a couple more days to see for sure that it is male. I’m sure it is but the ball I saw was very small.

Sounds like you're seeing similar results to what I saw with testing Jack's Citrus last year. Used it up in veg + flower with my outdoor crop and got some amazing results. Super-simple and cheap if they had some distributors up here. Only reason I haven't switched to dry ferts is availability here in Canada, hopefully that'll change soon with prohibition 2.0 on the way ;)

If the Mega Crop can keep the plants rocking throughout the flowering cycle like they did in Veg then I would have no problem paying $45 to have another 22lb bag of the stuff shipped up. I’ve used less than on oz of fertilizer in the plants six feedings so far. This bag is going to last me forever. Lol.

True enough, if it works well one of those bags would last me years as well and likely has a long shelf life.

I had enough of it to fill 8 3/4 quart mason jars. If it’s left open to the atmosphere it absorbs water and gets sticky and dark in colour. It is also way easier to handle in those small jars. I might use a 1/3 of a jar per grow. So 24-25 grows if I don’t get any bigger. Lol.

Good point and practice, I noticed with the plastic buckets that I grabbed to test Jack's, the seal isn't the greatest and by about 1/2 way through using one container it had some moisture in it. Didn't make it unusable but if you're storing it for a year or longer it's definitely a good idea to find some properly sealed containers.

Three Blue Harley

Sexing is done and three were removed from the room. I am left with four plants that should fill out nicely in this space.

Transplanted them into 5gallon fabric grow bags today. The three topped plants are all 13 inches tall and the lone untopped plant BH #5 is 11 inches tall.

I also built a makeshift flood table to catch any run off during feedings. It’s pretty easy to get the water out with my shop vac. :bigjoint:

Ouch, sorry to hear both of the BX x BP's turned out males. But the remaining four they should end up filling that space nicely.

Well here they are. They are bushing out quite nicely especially the BR. Two of the BH are a little taller than the other two but I’m pretty sure I can tie them down if need be.

I plan on going 12/12 on Christmas morning. Hopefully Santa brought me the Hortilux Super HPS bulb I have been asking for.

The plants are currently 15-19” tall should be pretty large by harvest.
