Small buds for week 5?

Hey guys I flipped to 12/12 February 18th... it'll be 5 weeks April 22nd. I compare the buds the other plants I found on here @week 5 and mine seems small. The picture uploaded is the biggest bud of my plants... The bud in the picture is the only plant I didn't topped (I did it as an experiment being my first grow) the main cola of the plant that I didn't topped is huge compared to the ones I topped.

Also, any veteran growers knows if she looks close to harvest? 3 more weeks!? The pastils are bright white still...

Doesn't look that bad for 5 weeks and you being a new grower. Here is my Mendo Purple Urkle at 5 weeks from CSI Humboldt. What genetics are u growing?

The Mendo Purple Urkle is amazingly frosty with tricomes and smells like grape syrup. I would judge your cannabis by the quality of the buds not the size per say. Are your buds dense or fluffy? What kind of light are you using? What are your temps like at in your room?

Fuck dude looking good!!! Northern lights by Royal Queen Seeds... buds are fairly dense... temperature well roughly 75-77 during day and 65 during dark. I'm using a 600w hps

That is all on point. I think your bud looks good. As far as when to harvest I always go at least 9 weeks with my plants because I think it allows them to reach full potential. Then I harvest the bigger tops colas but leave the smaller under buds untouched for at most another week to fatten up and get extra frosty with the new light they get. Keep growing and the key to the best bud is starting with the best genetics you can afford and find.

If you want to boost your buds and trichome production you can add 1 tsp of molasses per gallon of water. This is a cheap and easy way to fatten up and tric out your buds.

from week 5-9 there seems to be a boom in growth. i know i go through the same phase every time where i look at them and say this isnt going to be enough lol. then they kick their asses into gear and bulk up the last few weeks. just stay the course and reap the rewards in the end.

The OP wanted to know if his buds looked small for 5 weeks into flower. The pictures that were posted was so he had a comparison.

ready to harvest when trichomes ar cloudy with some already amber.

dont compare size...even girls lie about that

You got pics up yet? Your grow was killer. Im just over 3weeks and Im finally starting to feel like these girls are gonna put out. Even with 2 low end lights theyre popping all over the place. I've been talking dirty to 'em, maybe it's working:eyesmoke:
