I am a first year cannabis grower. however i grew an organic veggie garden for about 5 years. I know all the basics. so all my plants look healthy but the ones Im worried about have been in flower now for about 3-4 weeks and is still very small buds, nothing is bigger than a dime. Flowering started ok it just they are not developing as fast as they seem to progress indoors. Everything is in the soil I dont put any fertz on them, Im suspicious that they are not deficient just not enough to stack on big buds. I was told that buds outside dont get very big outdoors in oregon. Does anyone have any insight or knowledge about this. hairs started to come out of the top bud aug 10th. for the next week they grew to about a dime and then for the last 3 weeks i have not seen any growth? i think that would put this plant is almost in week 6?

She is just starting to flower, give here some time.
The hairs you're talking about, are they simply the preflowers that you typically get at about 8 nodes worth of growth telling you that she's ready to flower?
You can get hairs during veg. That doesn't necessarily means she was flowering on Aug 10th. She looks like shes on week 2.

The bit about Oregon growing small flowers is completely untrue. I've seen some HUGE colas out of oregon. Go to Wal-Mart and get some Miracle Gro bloom booster. It costs less than 5 bucks and is better than nothing. Use half of what it says on the back. Full strength has the potential to burn plants. If you can't even come up on 5 bucks, then I don't know what to tell you.

^^^ true mg shit aint half bad.last year was my 2nd year growing and i got some huge colas..i used the veg and bloom mg. shit.. idk why everyone says it wil burn your plant up.. i used a tablespoon or two every watering and mine never got burned.. any way i got some fo farm stuff this year so im waiting to see how they turn out this year.
and your buds look exactly like mine right now.. just about the same amount of time in flowering.. they wil fatten up, trust me..by the end of sep.. youll see some big colas.. the first year i didnt use nutes and last year i did.. what a difference it makes..

I grew all organic during veg.. but I cant get my hands on any organic bloom ferts.. so I bought mg bloom and this is week 4 of flowering

MG works just fine.. use a 1/4 teaspoon a gallon at first bro.. seriously the shit is to strong.. if over do it during flowering your gonna be bummin... and it costs 4.99 for a small box that would last you a lifetime.. if your doing 2 plants a year.

Don't put any miracle grow on your cannabis unless you want crappy tasting pot! That stuff is no good for your crop in any way. There are other cheap alernatives that will build em' up without adding all that sythetic chelating agents. Get you some Alaska mor-bloom it's cheap, and it's good. These do look about 2 weeks in, how much direct sun are they getting? If they're not getting enough, they will be slow.

Thats all well and great and I agree too.. I burned my plants even using just a little .. however if you CANT find any other alternatives I suggest using a little. Its better than nothing. Maybe it does effect the taste but my pot tastes amazing to me.. Much better than the shit I buy from the locals. Some people might be more sensitive to it.

geez. dont worry about these small buds right now, they dont even look close to finishing. MG? blah! use grotek monsterbloom, its ten bucks at your local hydro store and fuck it works. i use it 3 days before i switch lighting to give it a boost, then everytime i add to my res. im at 4 weeks with what looks like 8oz wet in a sog, still have 4 weeks left. outdoors does take alot longer to flower. it not uncommon to flower for up to 12 weeks. plus the more dark time it gets the more the plant will put effort into swelling those buds. if your in a hurry, take it inside for 12 hrs or figure out how to block out light.

"That stuff is no good for your crop in any way" thats not true at all. Dont spread lies. Might not be the best thing to use but it will give your plants needed nutrients for flowering clearly. Next year why dont you take a crappy female clone and use MG on it and compare it to your org. I think you would be suprised.

any hydro shop will carry cheap bloom stuff. I seen some for $30 and $40 that was very high in P.
