group shot! the big one is a clone i received recently which forced me to flower earlier than i planned, it was too tall for my space so i topped and LST'd it a little and now its perfect. the clone was labeled GS im almost 100% sure its not girl scout cookies soo its a mystery!!! help me determine what it might be?? the soil im using is FFOF amended with some of the happy frog bulb fertilizer which has kelp meal, feather meal, a few other things and mycroryza in it. and thats my ghetto super soil! only reasno the grow is soo small is i am in a very tiny apartment and an HID would be crazy

the two closet tops are only about an inch or two away from my 125w, they are gonna be some nice nugs, the third top in the back is past the light and still going but it wasnt directly under it so its ok i just hope it stops stretching!!!!

cfls actually can yield good. If you have them covering the whole side of a plant vert style. I use a combo of 2par t5 8bulbs, and 188w of warm white CFL vert. 8 7gal 5ft plants. Eventually I plan on swapping cfl's for Cree led globes

check out captainmorgans thread in led section. He gets 1 gram per watt with Cree led globes. 190w. 1 plant mainlined.

He has 20 led globes at $13 each. My theory running vert you can do well with 16 vert and 12 around the sides. 28 total. 256w for a 4x4 Plus they have a 10 year warranty . His is a 3x3. That would compete with a 1000w. I used to have 1000w and then swithched to 2 Philips allstart 330w. CMH. Got same yield as 1000w. Far better quality with cmh. Its not about watts at all. Lumens have no place in growing
its about par(umole/s) and cri. The sun at midday is 2000 umole/s. The globes have high par and 80 cri. Allstart 330 CMH has 1400 umole/s at 12 inches away. An Ushio 600w hps has 1100 umole/s at 12 inches away. CMH has a 90 cri. Hps has 30-35 cri. The higher the cri the more even the distribution of light. The more even the higher the par.

my place was robbed 2 months ago. They took all my lights. So now I'm working with borrowed lights...

I may end up doing a combo with CMH and Cree globes when I can afford it.

The crees and cfls run on e27 sockets. The cmh run on e37 sockets. Same as hps /mh . The 330 cmh run on a 400w mag ballasts. I'm in Cali. Growers House in Arizona said they would send me a 400w switchable mag , vert mogul instead of a reflector and hps bulb for $122 with shipping, 5 year warranty on ballast and 1 year on bulb. It's a $7 difference with the bulb. That set up is cheaper than anywhere in Cali even after shipping. Then you can get the 330 cmh for $88 with shipping from Advanced Tech. 1 1/2 year warranty on cmh

they run cooler than a 250 w hps. They put out a white light like being outside
