Small closet grow questions

First i have 30 sprouts under 98w 4bulb t5. How many can i finish vegging under that?

I put seeds in rapid rooter 1"sq cubes 4 days ago. all oppened and about half are at 2 inches tall now and root grew about one inch out of the bottoms. Figure light was too far so now sprouts at about 4" from bulbs. is 4" good? and should I start transplanting sprouts in cups now?

closet is 2.5' deep x 4' wide x 8' tall. There's a shelf up about maybe 3' from ceiling, 1' deep. Is that enough for veg, maybe too much?

Thinking 1000w hps for flower. 1000w too much? How do I hang it? I'd like as little wasted space as possible.

Now the answer i really really want. What kind of ventilation do i need? From the closet ducting needs to go about 30' with 3 90%turns to exit out a hole already in my window, and it needs a smell filter. I have a small AC in the same room as the closet. Can I exaust warm AC air into the closet then have a fan in the closet to exaust all that? (I think 2 holes in the window might look suspicious) How big is the fan i need? Is warm AC exaust bad for plants?

Last question. Closet has no door. Will my closet fan fuck up the cardboard door I was gonna build?

Man sounds like you shouldve done alot more reading before starting, yes that T% will be exellent for veg
"SMALL CLOSET" you got too many seedlings going for a small op
cups yes or 4" jiffy cups,
your closet is about the same size as mine, I devided the closet in half one for veg and the other for a mother
your gonna have serious cooling issues with the 1000w, most people recomend 250 or 400 for small op's
now, you've made the common mistake of getting ahead of yourself, seems to me like you have a vision but not a plan, you need to search this forums and youtube before you continue your grow

First off your fine with that as your veg light. I wouldnt expect all 30 to be female if they are regular seeds though. Hope for 1/4 of them being female with the rest being male and hermies. If you have feminized seeds you have way too many started lol. Second the 1000W is overkill. My closet that I grow in is only a foot longer than yours is at 5 ft. I use a 400w hps. I took the closet door off of mine, bought a roll of black plastic sheeting and velcroe sticks, one side fastens to the wall around the closet the other to the plastic. I put 3 on top, 4 on the sides and a couple on my tile floor to hold the bottom down. This keeps it lightproof. I add a 6 inch vent hole at the top for exhaust with a 6 inch inline duct fan, and at the bottom I have a 4 inch duct fan bringing in fresh air. I had to use some black duct tape to seal light leaks in the vent holes. I would say don't vent outside . Keep the ac on low and the fans moving air around. The trick is to get the air temp outside the makeshift closet tent pretty cool, like 65-70 degrees. Your fresh air vent will be pouring in cold air neutrilizing the heat build up of the HID light. Use a carbon filter and inline fan, if you can't afford that get a cheapy ozone generator and buy a cannister of ona block fresh linen. I use this same exact method, matter of fact it seems that we have the same exact room lol. I have no smell in my room, no smell in my house...nothing, that ona block is the shit. I run my lights at night and can keep the door open in my room and all I smell is linen. Hope this helps.

Think I'll use that velcro idea for the door. I got a roll of strong reflective stuff at the hydro shop, the guy told me it was better than mylar, name on it was flash gro, googled but couldn't find out what it is exactly. Think that's strong enough?

You happy with the 400w? I was thinking at least 600w, or 400w with the walls painted with T5s.

The AC I have is struggling to keep the room cool without any lights on. I'll def be getting carbon filter and inline fan. Still not sure on what size fan I'll need. I'm looking to get a bit too much.

As for the sprouts 10 of them are tomatoes, as they start outgrowing the light some will go outside.
