small light leaks a problem??

sup guys, so today was the day. went out and purchased 1100 dollars worth of shit to get this underway. i have 10 ww germ and 1 gigbud all fem germ right now. anyway my veg room is next to my flower room, so my question to u is there are a few very small light leaks between rooms as i have them seperated with black poly anyway leaks are very small but i was woindering if my 400 watt mh will affect my flowering plants in a major way?? like i said very small leaks... anyway any advice?:leaf:

sorry but light leaks=hemi's so they r not good

maybe a few rolls of duct tape will do the job, good luck

if you hve any light in your dark time for your flowering plants they will turn hermi and you will have shocked out plants with odd growth sometimes too.

good advice...duct tape is your best friend...and bailing wire, lol

the light leaks, probably, would not affect your vegging plants, except to cause more hermies.

flowering plants can take less light than a full moon, at night. that is @.01% of the suns full power. (and the moon is only full once a month, for a short time)
remember, your grow area is a scale model of a real environment, outdoors, in the summerish time.
so, if your bulb represents the sun, at say, 20%-50%(not actual figures, just an example), then, even a pin point, of a light leak could seem like 10% of actual, full daylight, sun power, to your plants, during their 'dark' period.

the difference between .01% and 10% is huge, and will stress your plants out big time!
