Small Plant in Veg

If I can see at least one part of the root coming out of the bottom of my pot, is it time to move on to a bigger container? I feel as though this is why my plant is so small right now. This plant is 19 days old on a 18/6 veg schedule.

If the pot was taller it would be fine for a while longer, but needs to be in a more suitable pot and should be transplanted.

Agreed never skimp on soil sizes, if you can feasably fit that lady into a 5-10 gallon slide her gently into it, you'll be glad you did by flowering week 7 trust me! Think of it this way, It's like buying shoes for a kid.......dont bother buying something that you may need to replace in a month!

So I got a 1.5 gallon pot. But now I'm thinking I should transplant again, but I don't want to put her in shock. She's doing well right now, but the vertical growth still seems quite slow. I figured that with a bigger container the growth would have taken off. I'm currently not on any nutrients (I'm waiting for some to arrive). Other than the growth, I'm not seeing any deficiencies.

Could it be that it's small because it's lacking nitrogen?
Should I add/mix more lights? (5 23w 6500K CFL's 1600 lumens each)
Should I bother mainlining or should I just let it grow? (The spaces between nodes are extremely tight, I don't know how I would be able to mainline)

I'm not trying to grow a really big plant as I have limited space (about three feet).

Should I bother getting a 5+ gallon container?

I'm on week three of veg, approximately 23 days. How long the plant is in the vegetative stage is preference, correct? My original plan was to veg for another week for a total of 4 weeks veg, then go into flower for 8 weeks (a week before Christmas).

thanks for your input, ^^^.

Yes, you can veg according to how large you want your plant to get..

If your plant isn't showing signs of sex yet, it could take about week or two after switching lights to 12/12... worst-case scenario, be prepared for a post-Christmas harvest.

I'd be careful using your real name dude (don't know it is or not). Just lookin out, best of luck on your grow!

I'm not too worried about when the harvest is, I just want the most out of this plant. If that means a six week veg, so be it.
The seed was feminized, but anything could happen, right?

Oh yeah, would it be all right for me to cut off some of the lower fan leaves or would that stress it out too much?

Oh, I was referring to the poster above my last post. I can remove that though.
