Small plants??

So I just planted two germinated seeds, I'm basically just doing a little experiment. I was wondering if you kept the plant in a small pot to make it only about 1ft tall. could you do like 3 weeks of veg time, then go into flowering??
Like if I only wanted a little bit of weed, could I just do a little bit of veg, then do full flowering time? or would that mess up the plant?
how old does the plant have to be before flower?

Sorry it's hard to explain, but basically what's the earliest possible time I could start flowering? Even if it gave me like 3 grams.

Btw I'd be using one 2700k cfl the whole time.... Remember this is just an experiment.

Best bet is 12/12 from seed if doing a solo cup run. You can switch the lights whenever you want to but a plant won't start flowering until it reaches maturity, usually after 3 weeks from sprout

sounds like a pretty cool experiment

if it were me I would go with a 1gal pot and give it a couple weeks of veg. then flower it out. you could do 12/12 from seed though if you want. there's even a 12/12 from seed thread. check it out.
