Small tent growers: Yield? or Variety?

3 X 3 tent

2 new (to me) strains -regular, photoperiod seeds

I'm popping 3 seeds of each strain in order to up the % that I will get at least 1 female plant out of 6. I know it's likely that I will at least 1, but you know how Murphy's Law works. If I end up with all 6 being females, then I'm going to quickly get myself into trouble with space. So, I'm thinking of using 2-gallon containers for the 6 plants in order to avoid potential overcrowding. Of course, this will decrease the potential for higher yields, but gives me more potential for unique phenotypes. I'm hoping that with the proper fertigation, the plants will still yield a decent amount. I've seen people who have used small containers and ended up with some pretty impressively-sized plants relative to the container size.

I guess I'm going to go for it, but I'd like to hear from others who have been in the same situation and get their feedback, too. Thanks

For me its yield. Mono cropping. Dedicate all space to what I ran before and mothered. Mini area 51 test site 1’x2’x2’ tent. Perpetual clones. I do 1 plant in a 3x3. Even if I wasnt hash only Id do that, needs to pass the check point even if same strain different seed. I hate unpredictability. I get veriety through out time. I have to follow plant count but could graft.

I have a 3 x 3. I run 4 gallon SIP pots.
I grow 4 plants at a time. The key is short veg times. This last grow I flipped them at 27 days. That worked out just right, pretty much fills the tent but they don't get too tall. If you do get a tall one either top it or bend it.
4 plants is a lot for a 3 x 3. Have you looked into starting them on 12 12 and running single cola plants?

Im in a 2x2 with nine 1gl pots. This is an all clone run. The empty pot in corner is for a male that is currently rooting.
Next run im going to attempt half gallon pots, all 12/12 from seed for pheno hunting. SOG style.

I made hundreds of seeds this year in the greenhouse. Im after one good male from this particular plant, to do some backcrossing and cubing.

I think I can start messing with other strains I just need to have that hash yield. I really like exotic genetix stuff I want to run others I suppose I just need to look at other growers and their press results. Then its like popping a new pheno in terms of risks. Not breeder description that screwed me.

Supposed to take a cut of a strain I know best but couldnt help cut the exotic instead. Its got great bud structure sativa for budrot and it smells like sage and vicks I love it. PM tolerant so far.

What I said didnt age bad after losing a run to mold but it kinda still true since hash only. Dabs is my spirit animal. Im finally budging and want veriety after cutting back I have that freedom. I even might of pollen chucked and made a F1 which if grows can be cloned. Talk about exciting and exclusive.

Great. As an outdoor grower, I´m still thinking of tiny indoor growing SOG style. Are you going to try from seeds, 12/12, as writen above? Interested in your results.
I grow both outdoor and indoor. Outdoor is my preferred choice.

I have one plant 12/12 from seed and its looking good. Its in week 3 or 4 of flower. I have to double check. I didn't top it, but I imagine it would be even smaller if I did. Plant in far left is Amnesia Haze 12/12 from seed.

This is my ongoing thread if you want to check it out. Started in greenhouse, made fresh seeds. I also took cuts from best plants and im testing them indoors.
