smell not very strong in week 8?

I had my plants outside all day in the sun, and they smelled just amazing. often times i would be quite a ways away from them in the garden and i would get a good dank wiff. so good.

then i had a bug problem and had to bring them inside and keep them there. Ever since, My buds have a very weak smell. they still smell good, but not very strong at all and their unique flavors are basically gone. The one in particular was quite strong and her flavors were very distinct.

I'm in week 8 and they are 9 week bloomers.

any advice/knowledge?

The oils secreted from trichomes account for terpene profiles, thc and all cbd content, these trichomes are produced to help protect the plant from uv-b light, specifically thc, the terpenes and other molecules formed on the plant are to protect from insects, animals, and other natural harms, i cant give you a fullproof answer on the degredation of your terpene profile but I would first check the trichomes and the level of maturity they are at, if not swelled and beginning to degrade I would put under a HID bulb specifically a metal halide if your looking for more trichome/terpene production based on the spectrum released from the mh vhps, if available supplementation from a reptile light (reptiles require uv-b light and these lights contain up to 10% uvb) and or tanning bulbs, During this tine of the year uv spectrum in any northernly latitude is far less than par given the needs and capabilities of cannabis. hm okay thanks for the answer. i think what ill do is try and put them in the sunlight a few days before harvest. just have them sitting by the window. not sure if it will help but i know my smaller plants get real stinky when i put them in the sun. the window opens nicely so its direct sunlight

i bet once its dry it will smell .

took them out of the tent yesterday and had a wiff of them all. my stinky lady has changed in smell. she still smells lovely but not as strong and the flavor has def changed a lot. about a week or two from harvest now.

do you guys find that most strains change their terpene profile later in flower?
