i agree with dj in the sense it wont double your yeild... like i said, maybe a gram or two more than you would have normally harvested out of the party cup... i will say though that i am not sure at all what the dif will be if you cut the roots like wallynutter suggested... however dj, i watered every 2-3 days when i was growing out of a party cup... so i guess it just depends on soil and heat as far as the watering goes... and mass of the plant prolly attributes to the watering thing.. mine was tiny (firstgrow)...

Here's my 2 bagseed 12/12 from seed smelly.

well... in my case, i have never transplanted... so i tend to start off in what i plan on growing through out in... however, busting up the root ball is good to know... whenever i do transplant.. if i ever have to... mental note: bust balls during a transplant... lol... that sounds funny... but note made...

yeah...there is no perfect answer for this...all grows, growers, mediums, environment is different..and get different results.just going from what ive went through...and i try and stay away from cutting the roots...had a few issues doing that before...guess like i said before...it all depends on what ya got...to each his own...which is why im glad there are people like us on a site like this that can post how different things work out

so...party cup not a prereq, huh? a McD's cup works? :) didn't want to start it until I could use my new 400w hps, but I got a couple of bagseeds I wasn't counting on, so I'm starting it then... :blsmoke: well, at least the first batch...

i agree as u should only bust it up wen ur plant is rootbound and ur transplanting it...if its not a rootbound ball then u should leave it...usually the case when u transplant 'in time'
