I woke up today and my bedroom door was wide open. I didn't sleep in my room, but somebody knows about my op. nobody has said anything and everybody is home right now... I'm not really worried as I'm not easily alarmed and usually have things in control. hmmm I'm going to build a tent using a far corner in my room as my plants are getting bigger. I need to find some currency to buy a new door lock. I keep my door locked 24/7 but anybody can get through by using a credit card/id card through the crack.

my plants are getting more and more leaves and I'm only using 3 incandescents. the smell is slightly apparent. Idk.I'll keep everybody posted

Man Smellz, this thread isa growing faster than your plants! I forgot to answer earlier it seems but yeah my Party Girl is a clone. Her roots are still working their shit out but she's chugging along.

And tafbang: a chandelier and 28 encyclopedias? That's awesome haha!

don't forget the stool and the table. lol.... I'm so ashamed but it's working so I feel like a genius

She sure is :) Looking good bro, +REP to you aswell!

You got that right!

Keep us posted on how she does!

I'm getting the 2nd and 3rd set of leaves.... are there supposed to be dust looking things on my leaves already? my strain is killer bagseed. I thought it was dirt so I tried to wipe it off. but it's part of the plant. It's not possible to have trichomes already is it? plants are ranging from 3-8inches estimately. they all have it.

no trichs at that age.....might want to look into spider mites....sounds like that might be the case...but without seeing it..who knows

That's what I was thinking but I can't wipe them off. and I have 2 jumping spider guards. I told myself it was impossible.... but what is this? spider mites also? https://www.rollitup.org/attachment...7981410-official-ghetto-growers-group-074.jpg

I can't find my spider guards. =\ think they are wandering around the house
is that a pic of yours...or something close...but its def not spider mites...that will cause white spots on the leaves from where they suck nutes from out the bottom of the leaves...normal spiders are ok...spider mites evil...but got me bro..but its not trichs...looks like the hairs that can grow on them are growing extra thick...might be the lights your using

yeah i was gonna say, unless i've missed out on something..incandescents probably arent the best choice in lighting.

Going to try and find like 7 lady bugs at the flower store just in case. my spiders are probably 1/3 size of a lady bug so hopefully the spiders don't murk my lady beetles

and newdude.... OBVIOUSLY. would you prefer I hold my plants up to my tv or a lighter to get light? I'm doing well and I emphasized many times on an upgrade soon

My baby white widow has furry little leaves if you look real close... Not sure if your seeing something similar.

And get 2700k cfl's. You can get them at any local store for pretty cheap!

Edit, Read this link and it should point you in the right direction... https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/107992-tutorial-growing-cfls.html

yeah, I just heard that I could counter spider mites with carnivorous mites. I'll head to the flower shop and flirt with the register lady to try and get a couple of those. if mites are the case

and thanks for the tutorial on how to use a lightbulb :D jk. I've read on them before thanks

i wasnt tryin to be an ass. but yeah cfl's are the way to go to start off with on a budget. theres a little more to it thank understanding "how to use a lightbulb" though.

I have 1 question. for overhead ceiling fixtures can I use those spiral cfls? will there be no circuit failure?

Just checking :)

The sooner you switch to cfl's the better!

Yea they usually use less watts. The catch is they have to be 3-5 inches away to do anthing and they put off mostly all there light on the side "horizontal."

I have 3 spots on the ceiling. I plan on getting a couple cool whites or bright whites and maybe 1 random for a mixture. I could possibly already be using soft white cfls in my room but I'm no einstein in deciphering a light bulb. my babies are growing a little more rapid. I'm thinking about a transplant soon. I'm scared of my budget. My main concern is the light equipment being too expensive.

When I transplant I'll definitely need some portable lights as I don't plan on building a super tower in the middle of my room with dressers and entertainment centers to just get light to my plants some light. Now that I'm thinking about it.... it's not a bad idea budget wise if I can get some strong cfls

right now im runnin 4 26 watt 5500k cfl's (yeah the spiral ones) and one 42 watt 2700k for veg on two small plants. i know im gonna hafta to up the light soon, but its been enough to get me started.

You could just pick up a 6 pack of 26 watt 2700k cfl's and there's a number of things you could do to get them to work cheap. This is what I would recommend.

Most have something like this laying around, then you just get a couple adapters to plug the cfl's into and mount this with a couple zip tie's in a well ventillated cardboard box and your good. Believe it or not cardboard works well with cfl's and with decent ventilation your good 2 go. Ask "Concord Dawn" or even better check out his grow!

i've started with something along the same lines just alot more ghetto. its in my sig. my lil plant is having some difficulty but u can see the light strips. another option is to get y adapter for each spot and have two bulbs which is what im gonna do when i set up something more permanent. one thing to remember is to keep the lights as close as possible which from what mine do is about 1"-2" from a low wattage cfl to the top of your plant. if it burns your hand itll burn your plant.
