haha! I personally love salvia! I buy alot, it's fun to smoke it! Even though the taste is horrible. It's fun to do it with friends, but the real name for salvia, is salvia divinorum. Thus it's meant to smoke alone, and it's supposed to give you a surreal experience to meditate with.
If you want that "divine" or "meditating" experience, I suggest being alone with nothing loud or distracting around... annnnddd most importantly either sitting or lying down, because chances are you WILL fall!
But I can give you guys an example or something really stupid but awesome I did. Me and about 4 of my friends were sitting around my table and we were taking salvia hits. I was the first one because i had the most experience with it. I took it, fell down the chair, and rolled around my house in a little ball. I seriously thought I was this ball and I had to follow the tracks! Haha! Then all I remember was that I was lying in my kitchen and looking at the ceiling. I saw the ceiling full of colored lines moving around. It was my best salvia experience!
