you can throw a little clonex in the wound too, hormones will help it heal. Then tape it!

I have wrapped sewing thread around such breaks, alot of thread and they have healed up fine, I had this happen once on my little bonzai purple krunchie trees and these were real stiff and snapped bad, one branch is a good part of the yield so I woulda been mad if I lost it.

hold the plant so the break is pushed together like it should be like where it was b4 it broke and then wrap a bit of gauze around it and then some tape over the gauze(you need something inbetween the plants and tape since if you leave the tape after it heals its just gonna prevent the stem from getting any bigger like normal and the branch wont really do much at all. alright, now that you have that part done find something you can tie the branch to to help support its weight while it heals. its not a big deal ive broken more branches than i can count and never have had one that didnt recover.

I snapped a branch when I transplanted right after I started flowering. I used 2 popscicle sticks as "splints" on the stem and bread ties to hold it in place. Its been a lil over a week and so far so good, I'll post a pic when the hubby gets home this evening.

Painters tape should be okay, but it might not work to well when it gets wet. Best option is to get grafting tape which is self-adhesive and a bit more porous.

Cant get a pick right now but the sticks did work!! Fantastic actually! We were able to loosen them for growth until it was super strong again...
