Snapped off stem

I know this is a crazy question that sounds dumb . So my son snapped my seedling at almost the tip where it’s first leave was almost about to come out and pinched it in half. The stem has a small set of roots that it started and the two that start are still in okay shape. I put some clonex in n the top part holding the leaves and placed it next to the stem. I don’t think it’s gonna make it but where there are a few roots will they grow out and make a new set of leaves or will the little leave form new roots. I’ve been lucky and been able to straw them up when the bend or break over or usually I’d throw them but this seed was valuable to me.

What up buddaz.
Lol if only they grew out like tomatoes. Sometimes I get new little sprouts at preflower but never had a seedling snap in half always bend and fixed with straws. I know as long as tomatoes have there original root system to its original stem. It starts a new stem system off the edge of where the other one started. I’m gonna try to grow out the roots and see if it might be a possibility. It’s a photoperiod stem instead of an auto so I might try and see lol. I had to pop one of my last few for next summer. The autos I started look great there getting flushed in a few weeks.
