Snapped stem

It’ll probably be okay and the bandaid should work. I was moving one of my outdoor trees and I split the main stem in two. The fracture was like 5” long right at the base. I taped it up with some electrical tape and it ended up being my highest yielding outdoor plant. You’ll know in a few days if yours isn’t gonna make it. If the plant looks the same after a week it’ll be fine.

Awesome . I figured by now I'd see drooping if it was major . I dropped a box once and snapped a plant almost im half . Dangling by the outer layer . It was almost instantly droopy . Its been about 30 min simce the incident and looks fine . I have high hopes .

I was trying to grab something off the shelf in my grow room last night without using a step ladder. I slipped and fell backwards and knew I couldn't grab onto the light so my plants caught me. I sat on one and my arm hit another. They seem to be just fine this morning!
That's a delicate area at the best of times, for future reference you can twist stems back and forth between your fingers to soften it, it can then be moved/bent over easily without a crease/buckle on the stem.
It probably doesn't matter but my view is if I can avoid them then why not.

Idk what it is, but when I snap a stem, and duct tape it..... It's usually the best bud on the whole plant at harvest.

Phew thanks for your reply. My first grow indoors and I was too afraid to supercrop and just tied down a couple of branches. Later I saw they had split from the main stem but seem fine.

I supercrop the piss out of plants and I can count actual branches lost over the years on one hand. If it’s just not going to stand back up then clip it and root it. Snap or twist. There’s a geek on YouTube who’s a bit dramatic but he demonstrates it well. To hell with tying them up. 40 plants? Snap ‘em the right way and keep moving.
