I've been ready for years but I'm always ready anyway.

Not so much if it's something a bit more catastrophic, like an asteroid or natural disaster, but I think I could manage.

HUmans love death and destuction stories....Hell they made up an Invisable man in the sky to kill babies....slaughter man women and children for not worshiping....not to mention the Catholics touture methods to convert.........die die die LOL

Okay, so I gave Catholicism for lent but the Crusades and the like used religion as an excuse to expand their kingdoms. Many of the chieftans in what is now known as Europe adopted Christianity as a way to gain "recognition" for the legitimate ruling (i.e. if they converted the church supported them with $). Also keep in mind that nobles have purchased their way into the church for hundreds of years...very rampant during the time of the crusades.

Although the king of Spain was an extremely Catholic in his own life, the Crusades was ultimately the result of a few individual people expanding their own sense of supremacy. Sort of how the US uses "democracy" as an excuse to run an empire.

It is also a parallel to the excuses used by the government to brainwash "reefer madness" into the masses. Get 'em scared, get 'em so they are not rational, and then use the fear to fuel the agenda. Bunch of a-holes. Past and present.

As for 2012, I'll be locked and loaded as with anything/anytime. I honestly think that we will experience a catastophy in various industries: money market, power/electicity, water contamination, etc. What would happen if we were without power for 2-3 weeks? People would be rioting, looting, and robbing within the first 3-4 days. Our inability to sustain ourselves without goods and services will be what separates the survivors from the prey. Guess I'll have to adapt an become an outdoor gardener.:joint:
