well.. I never make it down south, but in the bay you're looking at 375 at the high end, down to about 110 for the cheapest.

Let me just say, the $150 cheap shit I can get from the dispensaries is just as good as all the $15-20/gram bud I've gotten off the streets. On the streets, I can't even get access to the quality of the $350 bud in the dispensaries.
After going medical, I'll never look back.

£140 is like 190 usd, what do you mean by chronic? to me chronic means weed and coke; which would cost you about twice as much
in cali they get a decent deal from dispensaries without having do deal with a shady dealer trying to burn them every chance he gets. and they get a better deal from growers or care givers

Its all relevant to your location. Socal is going to usually be on the high side, because people will pay it, but then again we do have some of the finest buds around. My old dealer is actually a dispensary provider, so I was getting the same stuff at about the same price, but nothing beat the convenience of "hey I am out of bud, let me drive down to the store and grab more"

140 pounds is 210.50 today in the US. A friend of mine just moved out to LA from the East Coast. He told me expect to pay $400.00, if not more for top shelf. He also told me that the weed gets you insanely high, and this is coming from someone whos smoked a lot and for a long time, daily. Some of the best brands he has told me about are Vortex, Headband and Black Granddaddy Purp.
From what he tells me, the more you buy the cheaper it is. Expect to pay $120 or more for a quarter of some insane shit.
This is more than where we come from, but he told me the peace of mind, one has, knowing they arent going to jail for having weed is worth it.
On the other hand where I live, if you asked 140 for a qtr, no matter how dank it is, ppl would not pay that for it.
In my opinion, if legalization leads to $120-150 quarters, I dont want it. But the selection would be awesome.

Often those prices are reserved for TOP shelf meds, AKA some special shit. Most is reasonably priced IMO and if you know someone you always end up paying less anyway.

In So Cal you can realistically expect to pay anywhere from $250-$400 for a zip of some dank shit from a dispensary. I just got back from travelling AGAIN and the one thing I hate about the REST of this country? No fuckin' weed worth smoking. I'm sorry, but you motherfuckers smoke nasty shit compared to So Cal. I know there are more medical states and there's lots of you on here growing your own, but damn, there's just a lot of nasty shit out there. Shit I haven't even SEEN in So Cal in the past 10-15 years. You can't come at people around here with that shit you'll get laughed off the block.
Save up the $400 for an ounce and buy it....it's good shit.
