So I finally tried water curing

done it once, and like you all have said, I echo the same opinions, taste lacks, feels a bit "off" from the normal high, and well, it's kind of a pain. Not to mention if you have LOTS of herb too, it'd be a nightmare to do. Not worth it, but if you have the time and/or the xtra buds, test it for yourself. Everybody is different, and we all like different stuff, so the BEST thing to do, is to try It, if you are at all curious. I don't regret trying it, just decided it wasn't for me.

I appreciate the experiences in this thread and will never try water curing. Thanks all for saving me the letdown!!! :bigjoint:

I think you should at least try a couple grams.

Experimentation is what makes us learn and discover new things.

Not exactly trying to say you should water cure your whole crop, or any for that matter, but I think you should experiment. I think in order for us to grow as growers we should always be experimenting with something. Like I always say pertaining to an experiment " the lights are on anyway, might as well use a corner to learn something new".

Sorry.
This haze has me rambling and over analyzing everything.

I guess what I'm trying to say is always be willing to try something new.

This is such an interesting thread! Thanks to all who shared their experience/knowledge. I'm definitely going to try this with a small sampling (I love experiments!)

I know this is a somewhat old thread but not many are on this topic so I thought I would share...

Water Curing is an excellent way to get the "green" or "marijuauna" taste out of cooked goods.

Ever make an edible and it has that strange taste? Well after you water cure that taste is GONE.

Yes water cured bud has very little bag appeal, smell and taste. I water cure roughly 25% of my bi-weekly harvest and the majority goes into edibles and drinks, the rest goes to a very small number of patients that need that stealth-ness of having no real smell etc.

Thought I would post to show people there is a actual and beneficial reason to water cure your bud.
