So i got a 250 watt HPS running 120 volt 60HZ -2 what kinda timer do i need anyone?

it has a 3 prong i just don't want my house to catch fire cuz there are warnings on the timers and such thanks though i suppose any 3 prong 120 volt will work ty happy growin
Every timer that I have seen includes the ground prong. Get one with the ground and you should be just fine.
If your asking for personal preference then I would recommend any that are digital. I am not a big fan of the ones you have to push in the little 'buttons' like so:

yeah those are pretty whack ive never seen a digital one only on sprinklers
