So I have an idea. Tell me what you think

Well I don't want to buy a tank and regulator for co2 and I can't have a burner( to much heat). I decided to take a cooler that's air tight and run tubing from it to my grow tent. I would fill the cooler with dry ice because it pretty cheap and easy to get. The tubes would run to the back of my fan which blows just above the canopy. I'm doing a scrog so I have a very even canopy. So you guy think it would work? Thoughts or input is welcome

Id recomend only doing it when the plants are in flower.

dry ice is cheap but in a warmer environment itd get used pretty quick.

Every seen those myco bags?

Theyre like a non fruiting mushroom that produce co2 for a while.

I was gonna suggest the CO2 bags... from what I hear, dry ice doesn't work so efficiently, meaning the amount of dry ice you'd need to get your CO2 to a helpful level would probably be un-feasible.

I have a 30 gal cooler that's air tight. I will be kept outside the grow tent so it will stay cool my room temps that the tent are in is about 68. So it should go to fast and in order to escape it wil have to flow up the tube and over the top of the plant.

When dry ice sublimates I'm pretty sure it sinks, so without an active system drawing the CO2 into your tent I don't think this'll work. If you're just trying to do cheap why not go the yeast in a bottle with a beermaking tube cap route? Works for 2-3 weeks and is way cheaper than dry ice.

I figured since the cooler is air tight the pressure would rise and push the co2 out the tube? It sounded logical lol but i was pretty stoned last night lol

You certain on that "cheap and easy to get" part? Not trying to bait but it seems dry ice is a bitch to find retail anymore.

as long as its air tight it will create pressure, and the pressure will go were ever it can. in your case out the tube. its what I do but I only have used a 2 liter bottle with some holes poked in the top, you could also just put carbonated water in a spray bottle and spray the plants. they will absorb the co2 from the dropplets

Our local supermarket (Meijer, in Michigan) has a cooler you can get dry ice out of but it's by no means cheap.
