Good for you for rescuing that dog. I don't know how people can abandon animals like that. You just needs to take your time with him so he can get used to you. It seems like the dogs that have had a rough life allways turn out to be great dogs to the people who finally treat them right. That dog looks like a black lab to me, I don't see any pit in him.

Take care of me when I get old. You too will grow old and may also need love, care, comfort, and attention.
Go with me on difficult journeys, never say, "I can't bear to watch" or "Let it happen in my absence". Everything is easier for me if you are there. Remember, irrespective of what you do I will always love you.
