So this plant is about 2 weeks old,I haven't started any nutes yet. started a little lst, but right after these pics were taken I "unpinned" it and used some nylon ribbon to tie it down instead. I'm currently using (4) 23w 5500k cfls and (1) 42w 2700k. the soil is some mg organic (yeah i know) with about 10% home made compost mixed in. I do plan to add some worm castings in the next couple days. Also, after these pics were taken I went ahead and fim'd it. I'm sorta concerned about the yellowing/whitening on the bottom leaves, but all the new growth that i cut off looked good, and the remaining leaves look ok, with the exception of the bottom. But the over-all color is a little pale. Any help, suggestions, comments are more than welcome. Thanks in advance.

Why did you cut off new growth. That plant is too small and you should never cut off new growth. You can lst that thing or top it when it gets a few more nodes. I would give it water til it gets a bit bigger The first set of leaves a plant grows at birth falls off as the plant grows. Thats what you have going on.

Quick question, the pot your using, is it clear/translucent? Or did you wrap something around the portion of it that contains soil? Couldn't tell you bout the color of your plant, but if that pot is clear you might wanna wrap some duct tape around it to keep the roots from getting light exposure. Hope you figure out whatcha need to figure out dude! Keep your thumbs green!

Yeah, I'm sitting on a bunch of pics of my little grow, but I wanna wait a little longer till I make a thread. Just finished my ventilation systems yesterday, and I think now all I'm missing is a timer for my veg box so I don't have to run the lights 24 hrs. Then, naturally, there are always things to add. Thinking about CO2 recently but I just started flowering the clones (Laverne and Shirley), so I guess I know where my next area of research in the forum will be ;)

thank you sir, it might not be much to look at for a little bit. ha. but i do have 4 new sprouts. one from this stuff my buddy was calling "crunchy carrot". i dont know where it came from but it was sweet. real organic "vegetably" flavor and covered in orange, hence the crunchy carrot name. im eager to get this one bloomin'!

Hahahahahaha..well Im starting slow. I would go nuts actually if I had more than one to look after for my first run. If this grow goes well, I will have a few more going next time, with a few different strains. I have been surfing the seed sites and its torture..I want them alllll. I can taste them.

Peace,

Arch:weed:

my older plant is looking a little better but its only been on the nutes 2 days now so maybe itll keep improving. heres a few pics of it and one of the new sprouts, i'll get some pics of the others in a few days when they pop up a little more. i think im gonna call the older plant gertrude and the other sprout in the pic C.C. for the crunchy carrot name lol.

So after a trip to the hardware store, I picked up another timer for my veg box and got a thermometer/hygrometer for 8 bucks. My humidity was low, so I rigged up a little humidifier to run with the lights (since it has bright LEDs on it, stupid design) While i was fiddling around with my grow I noticed some fungus gnats flitting around, fucking cheap dispensary clones. I checked up on the babies in the veg box which i sprouted myself, and not a sign of the little buggers. So I'm gonna let the Laverne and Shirley (the clones) dry out a little bit, and maybe i'll try adding a couple drops of dish soap to the water next time they drink. Gonna go get some sticky traps and try the soap, and hopefully nip this in the bud (no pun intended) before it turns into a problem. It's only a few gnats now, but wouldn't want it to turn into a problem, so if the soap and sticky traps don't work, i'm moving up to mosquito dunks, i guess. Any ideas?
