So whats a good yield for 10 plants in a 3ft x 3ft x 7ft under a 600w hps?? Fire away

Hey guys was just wondering what would be considered a 'good' yield for 10 plants in a 3ftx3ftx7ft grow tent under a 600w hps light. im currently using the NFT method, but i want to hear from as many different types of growers as possible (always looking to adapt)

btw this is my first thread so bare with me if its a bit shit:-?.. thanks

Way to many veriables here man.
10 plants (unless there under 16" at the begining of flowering.) is way too many plants for a 600 watt light in that area.
plus too many other factors come into play here.

It depends on the strain my friend. what are they? genetic traits re height etc

small space is going to a be a SCROG grow perhaps

I'm assuming the NFT method is "Not a Fucking Thing"? You will reap exactly what you sow...

I think your going to have problems with 10 plants in a 3x3. With 1000w in the same size room I can only grow 4, any more than that and things get too crowded.

Seems like good growers can get around a pound from a 600 watt light in that much space.

I just grew 7 different strains 9 plants total in a roughly 3x3x6 fabbed up room I built with 1) 600 watt air cooled hps. I got 292 g's so between 10 & 11 oz's. I was growing in soil and conditions weren't prime but not way off either. Plus it was my first grow in the fabbed up room and 6 of the 7 strains. So with that being said I think it's very possible to pull a pound. Although I won't go with that many plants in there agian to cramped 6 would be my max but I think I could pull it off easier with 4-5 bigger trained plants. I've never ran nft but ur 10 plants are gonna have to be pretty small for that space.

its not a very big space for a 600w hps (9 ft2), when a 600w could fill (16 ft2) so you would be lucky to pull 7 Oz's
after a few crops you may get up to 10oz's per crop

may pull 16oz's in a 4ft x 4ft room after a few crops

Agreed. Even if you flower them really early they are going to stretch out a bit the first week or so of flower. I have a 8'x12' flower room and I only put 12 of my girls in there. I like them big though, but that's just me.

@flowamasta has been growing for years in a three by three tent under a 600W HPS in a hempy style tub.

He grows just one plant- or occasionally two- and gets right at or just over a pound pretty consistently.

I'd say that's your goal. I'd also say that achieving it with 16 plants will be a struggle.

you just haven't got the space grow a pound (16 oz's) in a 3ft x 3ft space (9 square foot), I really wish you could but its imposable and trust me I have tried
this is my 4ft x 4ft space (16 square foot) 44% more space and I pulled under pound

most the buds where 12" long and 3" thick, I field hole room with bud just don't see anyone doubling my yield in this space so 44% less space would be 44% less yield

you can flower in solo cups.. solo cups are about 4" in diameter... 36" / 4" = 9... so 9x9... you could flower up to 81 plants under you 600w... the more plants you grow and the smaller you grow them will equate to additional waterings and feeding schedules..

you will want to start a low stretch plant from clone and remove side branching if you cram them in tehre that tight

that being said 10 plants and 600w is not enough info.. i'd guess .4 to .6 grams per watt though assuming the plants are vegged long enough. so approx 250-350 grams would be a good yield for your setup.
