5 weeks from germ. Tallest is a AVT which is 43" - the rest are currently about 34" each but are rapidly growing. I haven't done any defoliating yet and things are very bushy. I'll either defoliate soon or just leave it alone and do a progressive harvest instead. That way those hidden bud sites will see plenty of light either way. I'm putting full dose per gallon of Gobox nutes in the water and mixing well. The water is from the tap so I let it stand for at least 12 hours before mixing in nutes.. Temps are in the upper 80's during the day and RH is around 50. Tons of air movement, and the plants are in fabric pots...so everything dries out very quickly. I think the Ripleys OG will have larger buds. The ROG leaves are bigger also, kinda like spinach leaves...and they are dark green..some are very elongated. The Alien Vs Tri F2 on the other hand has smaller buds and smaller leaves, which are a lighter shade of green...but both AVT are larger in stature than both ROG's...everything looks very healthy though...but at this point I'd say the ROG's will yield bigger but we'll see..View attachment 4132465

Hey man,I know that you probably have plintily times said what types of lights and the wattage you have but please enlighten me. I have finally broke down and on my first try in a couple months im going to start with an 8x8 grow tent I think with 4000 led Watts or around 62.5 Watts per square foot. Im hoping to grow 16 pretty good sized plants in this 64 square foot areaor 4 square feet each or 2'x2'. What you think and also I still want the answer to my question. Since im going to have a big area at also 6.5 feet tall and 8 feet wide by 8 feet wide im going to start with just regular plants untapped but don't know what types or how many. I just know im thrilled. Also I want 2 8" fans and carbon filters with duct. Probably also going to use 20 liter air pots or fabric cloth bags five gallons each x16 in soil for my first indoor grow.

As for how many plants..16 plants is a lot of work. I'm on my 10th or 11th grow and I don't think I would take on that many. If I did I would put a business plan together and plan it thoroughly. If you don't have a lot of grow experience pick something bullet-proof like Northern Lights. I like Mephisto and am convinced that anyone can grow great meds if you follow their grow guide.

As for how many lights/watts...30 watts per square foot seems to be generally accepted. Now..what the real wattage of the light is can be tricky to determine. Some claim 300 for example but only consume 180...so they are really 180 watts and not 300. You have to look at it that way.

As for what kind of fan...CFM times 60 divided by the volume of the space is a formula used in industrial ventilation for carbon scrubbers (my day gig)...a 4" centrifugal fan is rated for 184 cfm...multiplied by 60 = 11,040 divided by vol (512 cu ft) = 21.56 air changes per hour - for cannabis you need 10 to 15 ach, so a 4" 184 cfm fan is more than adequate. anything more powerful only pulls through the carbon too quickly and doesn't scrub the odor...an 8" fan will also make that tent sound like a jet engine.

As for types of lights...I have two (2) platinum P300 lights and a Timber 400 Vero 27 COB. The COB produces harder nugs...quite a bit harder actually...but you can still grow great cannabis wit the P300 type. I don't really have any experience with other brands.

I swear by fabric pots...but keep an eye on them as they dry out quickly.

Cheers!

I certainly appreciate this information. If im understanding you correctly its 30 led real Watts per square foot? And is it 1 or 2 4" fans and carbon filters? If its 30 true led Watts per square foot that's 1920 true led Watts for an 8x8 grow tent? Am I right?

Also if the plants were not say for example of 6 feet tall would 12 square feet be adequate or 5-6 plants for 64 square feet?

I think you can average the same yield per sq ft with less plants if done correctly. My current grow room in the pics I posted is 8' x 3' (24 sq ft). I find that four well grown plants in that space to be almost like a jungle. I could probably manage 6-8 if I used 3 gallon pots instead of 5 though.

Yours are autos right? Im talking about 5-6 photo like master kush at 12 square feet.Your also saying 4 plants at 24 square feet or 6 square feet each. Im saying 6 at 10.5 feet square

If I'm growing in a tent I don't want a large plant unless I'm doing a SCROG....so I'm usually growing something that ranges between 36" and 44" or so. My current autos (ROG & AvT) are as big as my last round of photos (RQS Sour Diesel)...so the same rule regarding space applies both to autos and regular feminized.

6 plants at 10.5 sq ft is doable..but you could SCROG 3 of the same plant and get the same yield.

Yes. 30 (consumed) LED watts per sq ft for great cannabis. I recommend Timber lights because they're like dewalt tools..."buy it once and buy it right". They have an online chat tab and will calculate the watts per sq ft for you. I highly recommend chatting with them before making a purchase.

if you haven't already ordered I would get a 6" fan/filter and a variac controller.. You can dial the fan down and it will be more efficient and quieter than the 4"
It will be about 6-8 weeks but that's what I will do and thank you very much again. Once I get started I have one other good friend here that knows a whole lot as I can tell you do also so if you don't mind I will be calling on you for advice from setting up my system to drying and curing though I already dry good but not sure about curing yet
