Awesome. I just had an idea, about a way to keep it moist, if you're worried about the paper towel drying out. How about using that water retaining polymer?
Now, if you EVER need to know how to ship live animals (fish, reptiles, corals, bugs), you just let me know.
you don't let anyone know theres a live animal in the box

good thread honkeytown.. the USPS is required to obtain a search warrant before they can open a package in transit..
but if a package were to break open 'by accident' that contained contraband, they could report it.. I've mailed cuttings to myself from CA to FL. 2 day air (mail on Monday if its not a holiday). Similar method but I use straws to put the cuttings (no leaves) in with 'damp' paper towel wrapped on cut end, each end bent and taped.. can put 6 in a small bubble wrap envelope.. 100% success.

my cuttings last for weeks in a zip lock bag, misted with water/cloning gel, in the crisper section of my refrigerator. I've done this since 2008, learned it at oaksterdamU. I imagine would survive the mail too.
