Hello all, long time reader first time poster. I just started my second grow last week on the 13th. Here is my setup and some pics of my babies on the 13th when I transplanted them from the starter rock wool cubes, and today the 22nd. I have 3 Dutch Passion, 2 UK Cheese, and 1 LA Confidential, all from clones from the club:

  • Closet is about 5' wide x 3' deep x 5.5' high.
  • Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil mixed 2 parts to one part perlite.
  • Fox Farm Liquid Nutrient Trio Pack and Soluables Trio Pack once I start flowering. Mixed in a 5 gal bucket with aquarium pump for circulation and air flex hose. 7 stage R/O water.
  • Foliar feed made with high nitrogen worm castings and liquid kelp extract and Coco-Wet for a wetting agent/surfactant.
  • Blue Mountain Organics Super Plant Tonic for root inoculent.
  • Two circulation fans, one oscillating on the floor and one mounted at the top of closet. 4" inline fan attached to carbon filter venting into storage cabinet above closet.
  • Temps go from 72F-85F depending on the time of day and humidity fluctuates between 40% and 65%.
  • Right now I'm under two 108w 10,000 lumen 4' High Output T5's each with one 6,400k grow and one 3,000k bloom bulb bought from HTGSupply.com
  • I will be using a 400w HPS for flowering.
  • Lights are running 18/6.

When I am ready to go into flowering I am going to take the two best looking plants and set them up in a different veg room I am currently constructing.

First 6 pics of plants are Dutch Passion, next 2 is LA Confidential, last 4 are UK Cheese

Please feel free to leave comments and suggestions.

Grow on,
Nic

Mainly I'm just looking for opinions on the setup and conditions of the plants from experienced growers. If you'd like some larger pics to see them in better detail, just ask and I'll be happy to upload them for ya.

Grow on,
Nic

Looking good, just keep an eye out for stretching using the T5's. Also welcome from another fellow Socal Grower

Thanks guys. Yeah the T5's are pretty much right on top of the little guys right now. I'd say about 1-2" from touching the bulbs, so I don't think I should have to worry about stretching right now.

I was going to take the two best ones out and make them moms, but I was wondering if I could just use the tops from each plant once I top them as clones and maybe take one more cutting from each at the lower nodes in order to veg so I could have a harvest every couple months. If I did do this should I veg these current plants a little longer to make sure the clones are viable and strong? How long would you recommend to veg them if so?

To give you an idea of when they started, I bought them from the club on the 12th and all of them had roots protruding from the rock wool cubes so I transplanted them into ~2gal pots (I know, should have done 1/2 gal first, then the 2 gal but whatev) on the 13th, that's where they have been since. How tall should I let them get if I want to take clones before flowering?

Grow on

Wish I could help but I am in the same exact boat, although I am about one week away from flowering. I have been wanting to make a cloner so I can keep it going. If you Close to the OC maybe we can swap some clones. ATM I have Cypress Hill Platinum OG Kush (long enough name?)

Hit me up via PM if you do.

So, I just got my R/O system hooked up. Wondering how much Cal-Mag to used to compensate for the filtration of it?
